Do you really believe that ? He never asks his dad for advice on football matters ? So if we are really in for him he won't ask his old man what Bruce is like ?
Where does that say anything about not getting advice from his father , all it says is he is fed up of being compared to him , come on be honest now your a little scared he might come to us !
Personally I think he could, potentially, go to ANY Premiership team that would be willing to meet the price - this doesn't scare me - it's just football reality. But it would have to be the right price because we don't HAVE to sell (our owners backing suggests) - the ultimate aim is promotion and you can't sell your best players (assets) on the cheap if that is your aim.
... dont be silly now Suet . Mark Hughes' arrival at Stoke and the rumoured departure of Begovich to a bigger club carries just as much weight (if not more - as they are established in the Prem) in terms of "playing for one of me dad's old mates" as a move to Hull under Steve Bruce.
Regardless of whether Bruce is mates with Kaspers dad or not. It doesnt mean anything Kasper is out for his own career. Not to please his dads mates. There is hostilities between the club from Nigel coming back. Were not going to want to sell to you. We dont want to sell Kasper at all and unless Kasper asks to leave he wont be going anywhere. Even then you will be looking at at least 5M for him. Kasper is happy here and well paid and he has time on his side so as he has only said this week. Its not vital for him to get to the prem now

Why would Kasper need his dads advice? He knows what he is doing, he isnt 16 anymore Peter has already said publicly Kasper hss had miles too many clubs. He said he nedds to find a club where he is happy and can progress as a player. Something he has already found Moving on to Hull can only hold him back from his big move. When Kasper does leave it will be to a big club.
Proud - I think you are missing the point ... he will almost certainly speak to his Dad about 'career advice' - In his own words "... he is my dad and not my coach" - which is very different than 'talking about football' which I interpret as "would you come for a high ball in this situation" - "Man City are now better than Man Utd" etc I also don't believe that 'hostilities bewteen clubs' has any real bearing on business decisions - although it matters hugely to fans e.g - RVP from Arsenal to Man Utd (SAF and Arsene have never been bosom buddies) - Carlos Tevez from Man Utd to Man City - Alex Mcleish Birmingham to Villa - Sol Campbell Spurs to Arsenal - Rafa Benitez Liverpool (indirectly) to Chelsea - Harry Redknapp Portsmouth to Southampton and back...
memories are surely not that short. when pearson came back Hull wouldnt sell us a second hand Grimsby programme let alone a valued player. If they make any bids for our players the answer should be UP YOURS!!!!! unless of course they want Beckford and Danns
My thoughts exactly Talking about rejecting a substantial offer for a player, and then letting him leave for nothing a year later, how is Cameron Stewart?
He's struggling to get into a Premier League side.. You can have him if you want, he doesn't dive or miss penalties
Someone suggested we should go for Almunia - don't know if he would fit the bill, but we do know he can save penalties
... fair enough ... but I wouldn't rely on Proschwitz as his training partner for improving those skills ...
