I saw, well done. Just seen this. IanJTaylor‏@IJTaylor81 AJ & Nelsen both trending. Been a thoroughly productive first day back in the office. Roll on tomorrow ... maybe some more good news!
1 goal every 3 seasons? Abysmal signing, I hope he does a Dyer. 6 PL goals in the last 3 years and half of those were against us. Fast losing fait in Hughes unless we get some much needed quality instead of oaps. Green next.
Does AJ signing mean an exit for one or more of Smith, DJ or Betty? I remain to be convinced he is any better than any of them but I'd be happy to have my mind changed if it means he scores important goals (not just goals in games we lose). Would Sparky have more than five strikers? Mackie can be used as a utility player but surely has to be classed as a striker. Along with Zamora and Cisse it makes 7 including AJ. Unless there are plans to off our existing three supporting strikers I am not so sure there will be any more movement for front men.
This is just the start... bigger picture boys... keep your eye on the bigger picture. Plenty more time yet. There will be more....
Green next, 34, 31 and 32 years old. i hope hes just getting the uninspiring signings out of the way 1st.
Green although Diakite is list on the OWS as our player but I dont know if he was ever on there as a loan.
I'll have to trust MH on this on, as a back up stiker i would have prefer someone younger but hey MH has managed him before perhaps sees something I don't. I guess like Cisse he could also be back-up for a winger as well, his played that roll. Maybe MH isn't going to play 4-4-2 as expected next season maybe 4- 3 - 3, I think AJ would make a bit more sense.
People moaning need to think about it, we are sighing these players as squad players who have pl experience and he knows how to get the best out of them. i saw Nelson a few times for spurs and he look solid. AJ might not score many goals but works hard and hassles defenders and you need forwards like that. We will sigh some young players who don't have any premier league experience, this is why you need both. People douting Hughes should really look at his records all the teams his has managers in all seasons his team has not finished outside the top ten. And im not on about qpr as you cant count that as he done what he had to do and kept as safe. now he is building a SQUAD that can compete and i for one am damn excited for the new season.
i think we need to relax about who MH brings in. Remember we have released a few wasters and now need some faces for a squad. The main thing that cost us last season was experience. In games i thought we looked a bit nieve and could have done with some stroner leaders or experienced players. Look How Bolton/Norwich/Fulham/Sunderland/Villa/west brom/ mugged us for points? Our only job next season is to stay up without the last day panic and anything else is a bonus When Mackie/Derry/Hill signed many on the old 606 board were moaning about 'lack of ambition' yet those players took us up? We all need to trust MH and believe in what/who he thinks is right for QPR. If he gets it wrong then come on here and moan but as it stands the season has not yet started.
All this laughing I'm doing is taking my mind of my dodgy back. How many treatment tables do you have at your training facility? Two already have reserved signs on.
Perfectly good squad signing, he's not that old! I'd rather have him as back up than Betty. I'll reserve judgement on DJ with his injury woes last year.
