Got to get flavour somewhere!

You'll know this, but of course 'vegan' isn't just about food. The whole shebang is about not harming animals at all, so it requires products not to be tested on animals etc etc.
It has become shorthand for food though, and I'm guilty of that myself. It's just easier than saying that I only eat a plant based diet.
But that is what I do.
I'm not a vegan apart from food. I wear leather shoes and belts because plastic alternatives are ****...and I don't really care about animals that much anyway ;)

Anyway I'll send you a toilet block pasta recipe later...

The millions of creatures killed directly or indirectly in the process of growing crops must give the ethical vegans sleepless nights.

Maybe so for strict buddhists. For most vegans I guess it's about not abusing and needlessly slaughtering sentient animals (of which we are just one).
The vast majority of crops are grown to feed animals that 'we' then eat. More than enough crops are grown to eliminate global hunger, but most of it goes to feed animals (mad world isn't it!), so if the world or even the majority of the world went vegan / vegetarian / PB, there would be less crops needed and therefore fewer 'millions of creatures killed directly or indirectly in the process of growing crops'. There would also be far less pollution & environment damage, and the world would likely be a kinder place too.
p.s. I'm not vegan, 'just' WFPB like Den.
p.p.s. I know it was a wind up and I know you already knew
