On this day 16th January 1948 I came into this world and to reach the age of 70 is somewhat a miracle and something I never thought I would reach the three score years and ten. This year also is the 60th year of supporting Hull City AFC as 1958 was the first time I went through the turnstiles at Boothferry Park, and was smitten.
I have seen many owners come and go, and my only wish is that in my life time I can see the back of the Allam's and the club returning to the happy place it once was.
Happy Birthday, John!
My Dad would have been 71 tomorrow but he was killed over 11 years ago now. We were struggling near the foot of the Championship at the time, he never would have believed what was just around the corner. I wasn't prepared for the explosion of emotion when the final whistle went on that special day at Wembley!
Stay safe out there!
