you probably remember the lufftwaffe flying over hull
I think there are many that could do to consider what that period must have felt like to live through, and show some respect to those that did.

My daughter complained when we had that cold bit in September so I offered her a hot water bottleIt's a sign of modern deprivation when kids are brought up by parents that never learned the art of fiddling the meter.
Saying that, many of us were dragged up in much colder times, in an era when central heating, double glazing and even duvet's (or continental quilts as they were then) were unheard off.
Get 'em a paraffin stove. That's what posh kids had.![]()

Yeah but not letting her use hot water as it was too expensive to heat! Tight twat!My daughter complained when we had that cold bit in September so I offered her a hot water bottle
The look of horror on her face
Just watching the pride of Britain awards
That little lass who was burned in a fire
Jesus Christ I’ve got some thing in my eye
On a different note, did anyone on here go to the Dylan concert at the Bonus Arena last night? I thought it was brilliant, it's a while since I have seen the great man live, the voice was surprisingly clear and the band nailed it. Never thought I would see him in Hull, a coup for the arena management and the city.
There can't be any other artist of his era who has their last album played in its entirety as the core of a tour. There can't be any artist whose latest album is good enough to warrant that degree of exposure.
Simply great

Except when Bob ventured out mid stage and looked a little unsteady before retreating to the safety of his piano! That was probably the best I've heard a band sound at the Bonus, the look and sound wasn't really what I was expecting, it was great though.
Probably the first and last gig I'll ever go to where the performer hid behind a piano all night.![]()
But who goes to a gig, where the artist doesn’t play any of his greatest hits, and plays his latest album in its entirety, **** that, Paul McCartney apologised for playing two new songs out of 30 at Glasto, you know the artist by the hits, I bet 90% of the audience never knew most of the songs, and going on reports I’ve read, it sounded boring as ****.On a different note, did anyone on here go to the Dylan concert at the Bonus Arena last night? Even Burnsy said it was plodding, £100 to sit on your hands for an hour and a half, ha.
According to Blunderside accommodations for Asylum Seekerswhat's happening at best western in n ferriby?
Why should he play 40/50 year-old songs? He played his latest album plus 8 other great songs which fans would recognise. So 'even Burnsy' said it was plodding, is he the great oracle now?But who goes to a gig, where the artist doesn’t play any of his greatest hits, and plays his latest album in its entirety, **** that, Paul McCartney apologised for playing two new songs out of 30 at Glasto, you know the artist by the hits, I bet 90% of the audience never knew most of the songs, and going on reports I’ve read, it sounded boring as ****.
