It's sickening and cowardly. I don't know Karl, but he's deserving of far more respect and support than the tosser that did this to him. Having spent time with disabled people, I've found many of them inspirational, and I felt humbled by their positive attitude and desire to see what they could do, rather than dwell on what they can't, despite the discrimination they suffer on a routine basis.

I don’t know him either, but the positive attitude you mention cane through on his interview on Look North
Nice to see the crowdfunded is creeping towards the goal, personally I hope it’s smashed and they can get every gadget they can to make his life easier.

A quick google of that name shows a charming and upright citizen, who wouldn't possibly behave in the way alleged, no siree.

Just donated. Now over £4,200 people are amazing. Just hope the waste of space gets his comeuppance.

Perhaps we could show that we're a civilised City, and I think it'd be an example if people bought Mr Proctor a pint. Clearly he may feel too threatened and vulnerable to meet people in person, so it could be an anonymous gesture, and to claim his free beer, all he needs to do is visit The Bank pub, and let the staff know who he is to claim the pint in the pumps. <ok>
