Did you mean the instant before the storm? ... or maybe you're thinking of a chameleon?I'm not sure, but doesn't that come before the storm?

I don’t believe anyone spat at him and I think it’s disgusting he’s making **** like that up.I do recall him being a bit of a scapegoat (although he was dogshit from what I recall) but this, to me, reads like a combo of lies, exaggerations and paranoia.

Problem Drinkers Hiding Alcohol Around the House
A common symptom of a problem drinker is that they hide alcohol around the house. They will usually find excellent hiding spots so nobody else in the household will find them. Alcoholics are desperate to keep their secret from everyone else because they feel ashamed. They also don’t want to be caught out because the worst-case scenario for them is to be forced to deal with the problem they know they have deep inside. Bottles of alcohol will be stored in strange hiding places around the house which is an indication of alcoholism.
I'm picturing Dennis like a little old wizened alcoholic squirrel at the moment.
Sat in his attic, contentedly gnawing on the cork of a 20 year old bottle of Glenlivet French Oak Reserve, happy in the thought that he'll soon be through to the sweet, sweet juices within.
