The paint suggests a chainsaw was used....not the clean cut then? <doh>

I've been cutting trees down with chainsaws for 30 + years and never used paint... so not sure how the paint indicates a chainsaw usage.. unless the writer means that paint was used on the tree by travellers to mark it to be cut down by their teenage sons, because they're not prosecutable for vandalism if under a certain age.

'It has sparked claims that the tree was vandalised by a 'professional' and the park authority believes it was deliberately chopped down'.

How could it not be deliberate, they took a chainsaw to it. <doh>

I was just casually walking by the tree and my chainsaw sparked into life, unfortunately the angle of dangle coincided with the tree and the next thing i know the tree was on its side.
