Well I think it was Alvarez who gave us the lift personally. I think both the response both from players and the crowd was a direct result of that substitution. Alvarez instantly gave us balance and with PVA on the opposite side they an extra dimension to our attack which was none existent in the first half. It's like both us and the players thought, right, now we can get down to business.
The thing is Funky we all know Alvarez should have been on from the beginning. That's what's so annoying.

I think the players felt the same fella, given their response. I think Ricky inspires attacking confidence in the players around him. He get's the ball and if he can turn the ball is only going forward.

And thereby lies the problem - this going forward lark Is disrupting our passing game goodness knows one day we will go so far forward that we may start scoring goals. Surely the whole essence of football is to pass it round the back 5 or 8 players until one of them makes a mistake, gives the ball away and the opposition score then those horrible b*****ds called supporters (don't know why we have them f***ers btw) can get on the players backs. Dead easy this football managment - oops sorry head coach

I'm not disputing that Poyet has got his team selection and tactics wrong on a number of occasions, including last Tuesday night. However, to suggest that players should still be able to perform to the best of their ability when their own supporters are on their backs is just wrong. Ronaldo would struggle to perform if his own supporters were booing him..
I dont usually disagree with what you say Raw but the reason the fans dont boo Ronaldo is because he doesnt play ****e, if he played like our players do I am sure he would be booed just the same or more.

We will still get 40000 cos us SAFC fans are cursed. It's in our blood. It's a lifestyle. We chose it. We're not forced to attend. We will still be here when this manager and these players are gone.

PS, are we all fools?
