Such a shame really. A big loss for those of us who enjoyed reading the blogs or listening to the podcasts.

This is very sad. Probably the only forum that used to talk a lot of sense (yes that’s including this one).

Who does the match reports and things we think? Whoever it is, they are an exceptional writer.

Shame, but thanks for the memories AN <applause> It was great while it lasted, I’m certain that we’ll all miss TWTWT

Hopefully we’ll see a few posters from there over here, after all we want the same thing at the end of the day, success for our great club.

Edit: hello to fer ark, yes mate I’m the Ford freak :emoticon-0105-wink:
Must admit when the AN forum died a death 1-2 years ago I became more of a regular on here, there may be others already for all I know. AN in its prime was excellent, and the Podcasts and TWTWT still are. Will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Andy, Les and DMT, along with others, did a superb job.

I'm gutted by this. They're really good at what they do and no one else is doing anything similar around City. It's probably the biggest dissenting voice gone so the club will be pleased.

I couldn't agree more, really gutted they are packing it in. 3 intelligent guys, who bring a certain humour to the proceedings (Podcast) as well as a point of view most City fans can relate too.

I think all three of them do TWTWTW, but the match reports are done by various different contributors, if you look at the match reports on the AN website, it credits the writer of each report.

Feels like the end of the fanzine era.

Personally liked the pre-Amber Nectar fanzines more, TOSS, Tiger Rag, CI etc, which linked into my psycho/casual/BP era more and had old hands like KarlBerg writing. Amber Nectar were younger shirters/normals but grew to enjoy their podcasts and City knowledge and anti-Allam rebelliousness.

The match reports technically really come from Tiger-chat, but a deal was done to share responsibilities with AN as it was getting harder to find people to write them. I'd imagine they'll continue on Tiger-chat, and they are made available somewhere else (can't remember where) so they won' be lost entirely.

I just think the City community is going to really lack a voice which stands up for supporters, for the club's identity and calls out the scandalous crap we're constantly subjected to. One which celebrates the identity of the club, its history and what makes it special.

Looking at the transfer thread, the voices offering sympathy to the Allams because the club is such a terrible financial burden to them are as loud as ever. Can't they **** off instead?

Don't get my wrong.I liked AN. Some of the articles and writing were great.but it had the taste of a mates chat room. Very cliquey and if you weren't in the group then you weren't in the group.
