We HAVE a £40m wage bill? Do you mean that's 2013-2014 budgeted wages?

We could have got Campbell for £30k per week. He would have been reasonable in the Premier League. I expect we'll have to spend a lot more than that now for somebody as good as him.

We expect our wage bill next season to be around £40m.

I'm glad you're not in charge of recruitment if you think Campbell will keep us up, his Premier League goal scoring record is appalling.

You think £30k a week is reasonable for a striker who scores one in ten?

I know you're an accountant, so i'm sure you can figure out that four goals a season from a striker is probably not enough. In fact, it would be £390k per goal and possibly the worst investment since Hull City signed Jimmy Bullard.

PS - I'm glad you're not my accountant...

Exactly - hence why we shouldn't be spending **** loads on two goalkeepers.

I wonder what people will say if McGregor gets injured and our bargain basement keeper costs us points. Maybe we should ask Watford? Oh, they released the keeper who played most of their final match.

You have no idea who our No.1 keeper will be next season.

You have no idea who our No.2 keeper will be next season.

Maybe you should wait to find out before you start complaining?

PS - You whinge too much and you're starting to get on my ****ing nerves.

Did I suggest we should rely on Campbell to keep his up?

You place an over reliance on statistics. Managers should look at players abilities and play to their strengths not shove them on the pitch and see what happens.

I know the club with most points wins the league but you shouldn't enter a load of statistics in a computer and let it make the decisions for you. Football, business and life is more complicated than that. That's why there's the word "nuance".

Nuance or Annoyance?

You suggested that we should pay a good Championship player, who's failed in the Premier League, £30k a week.

We shouldn't.

So how much do you think we should allot to signing the two quality keepers then?

What’s the plan for the rest of the team?

Maybe we should sign 4 or 5 quality top league proven strikers too.

I am not "complaining" I am giving my views on what is reported and the future. This is a football forum and that's what it is for.

I have a complete disinterest in your thoughts on me. I am sure you are aware of the word "hypocrite" - you accuse me of "complaining" and then you complain about me!

I see you have backtracked about "having" a £40m wage bill to a "budget". I don't think the club is very likely to provide any reliable information on such a sensitive area. They are more likely to issue statements like that to have an effect on transfer and wage negotiations.

OLM

This thread is supposed to be about Allan McGregor.

You know my view is that he is good enough and a good buy (if we get him). I think you share this view. So lets drop the argument about Campbell.

You are old enough and experienced enough to know that you will never change "opinions" on here. In your position you should also be smart enough to know the difference between a book keeper and an accountant. Stop winding our own supporters up you very naughty boy.

This is a forum and you can post anything you like, just as I'm free to challenge what you post.

Where have I backtracked on anything? I don't know what the **** you're talking about.

I can see it now: Our number 1 goalkeeper gets injured and we have to rely on an inadequate number two against a team we should beat easily. He has a nightmare and gets injured, too. That would never happen would it?

I can also see your response if I waited for it to happen before saying anything. "Well you never mentioned it before!" in a nervous screech.

We don't know who our number one or our number two are yet, how do you know one is inadequate?

Clueless whinging ****.
