They’re receiving backlash online for no poppy being on show for the SU game. They’ve claimed it’s tradition to only do it for home games despite photos surfacing of it being on the away shirt in recent years. They’ve also received criticism for having the commemoration after the date when they could have done it for the Boro game. Rather than just admit they forgot, they’ve tried lying their way out of it. Surprising really because they always tell the truth
My first game was a free ticket from school too. We’re proof that it brings in money to give schools free tickets.
It wasn' free tickets that got me started. Luckily at school my mate played for Hull city boys and I used to use his free pass at times. He never wanted to go.
Are ok these things really the Allams responsibility to organise? Ok they probably are due to everyone being sacked, but you'd think there'd be a member of staff responsible for sorting out trivial **** like this.
A free ticket then... I know what you mean, but it still shows that if you get kids interested young by free access to a game or two they’ll be hooked (similar business model to drug dealers!)
That is the general view of any sensible person, unfortunately having any sense doesn't seem to be part of our owners makeup.
If you run a business then you are ultimately responsible for the actions, or lack thereof, of your staff. Its really that straight forward.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/news/661420/200-on-a-ticket-for-a-disabled-fan-go-to-hull/ lest we forget - this was 5 years ago and hardly anything was said - there were even those that thought the Allams could do no wrong and why were the disabled getting cheap seats anyway - its only when things start to affect individuals directly do they start to smell the coffee
It's a **** thing to say, but the truth is there is not a single thing anyone if us can do to get rid of them, they will stay until sky/tv money stops, the money fans can stop going into the club is sucb a small % thst the less people at the games the better it is for them due to less staff/stewards etc needed! I think the most frustrating thing we could all do now is fill the ground Everysingle game and make them spend more money on all of the above
With the exception of the games the police cherry pick to use as fund raisers, in site ticket sales, food and drink and merchandise sales bring in more than they pay out on stewarding etc. At least in a normal club. Once the parachute payments are finished, ticket sales will be a large part of our turnover. Anyone who still chooses to attend after that point will be funding the Allams continuation. Without fans paying to turn up, the club would be so disadvantaged financially that it would be impossible to remain competitive and keep the money rolling.
https://dermotrathbone.wordpress.co...disabled-ticket-fiasco-what-i-told-the-press/ here's one persons story
so sad that story. His family are brilliant. There will be many stories like that Charon. I have just e-mailed my pals as regards my cancelling of my membership. 1 is following my lead. 1 other and his daughter will probably cancel at season end. The other mate has had a pass for near on 50 years so I can't see him giving it up.
