Only time will tell but I think he'll make a very good England manager despite his style being not to my liking.

I'm only looking at it purely from what he is capable of achieving on the pitch. I think he'll be out of his depth both tactically and technically.

See, I think he'll be in his remit tactically. He studies teams inside out and he's been setting teams up to win tactically for years. He needs to adopt his approach

Sam has attention to detail, he'll set his teams out to it's strengths, he'll he'll look to exploit opponents weakness. He's a data fiend on things like positioning so is well rehearsed on how oposing players will move and make runs, as well is areas of space they tend to expose. He's a great man manager and gets the basics right.

People are all about how it's won, these are the people who won't appreciate what Sam will bring. Those who don't care how as long as you win it will appreciate everything he does. If a defence struggles with long direct balls, he ain't going to have the team playing tippy tappy total football. He's going to hit them where they hurt. If team suits playing narrow, he's going to stretch them. He does what needs to be done and isn't seduced by a need to do it in style, which is just as well as England have serious limitations. I think he'll do well, don't think he'll win anything as the player pool isn't good enough, but I think he could deliver a quarterfinal. possibly even a semifinal.

Fat Sam to be appointed England manager in next 24 hours according to SSN.

This is an advanced warning on the impending implosions on the Sunderland board <laugh>

We like a bicker but the next bust up is highly unlikely to involve the departure of SA.

A bit like the Liverpool and Hull boards, we have the number of posts coming through daily that there is a much higher chance of implosions or arguments due to numbers. Anyone of those 3 boards have more posts than Arsenal Chelsea and Spurs boards combined.

On the subject of smoking the goodness, I'm all for the herbs but everytime I pass someone on the road or in the park and smell the weed or see a joint in their hand it annoys me. Don't get me wrong, as a social we used to find pleasant surroundings (IF it wasn't my University digs <laugh> ) to have a joint and pass the time, but there was a bit of an unwritten rule you wouldn't do it where kids are likely to be around.

Returning to my house at night a couple of years ago, I came across a couple of girls who were sat on my front wall toking a joint. I'll be honest, I got pissed off. Not because they were smoking, but they didn't have a sense of decency in not doing it in a public place and in front of somebody else's house. I walked up to them and said something along the lines of "Listen girls you want to smoke that, smoke it somewhere else not here." I admit I felt like I was coming across as a member of the sanctimonuous anti-ganja brigade. I wanted to say to them, "listen we've all been there, but there are places to do it" but firstly I didn't want to lecture, and secondly I was half expecting them to tell me to **** off. So in the end I came out with the curt response I did.

Even now, I just think if you're going to puff, do it in the privacy of your own home OR in a place where it's not going to be exposed to children. Not sure if that thinking still applies today tbh.

I agree to a certain extent, although I love the smell so quite enjoy the aroma around the streets.

I live very close to the beach and it's like a ganja farm on a hot day, kids everywhere too. That's a bit much tbh.
The reality is the police don't have the resources to do anything about it nowadays. For them to make an arrest (or even caution) is far too much time and paperwork for them to bother with. The kids know this so don't feel the need to hide it so much as when I was a yout.

The kids of today don't have much respect in general. At least when I was a kid I'd sit in flat stairways and squats to smoke :bandit:

But the Liverpool board very rarely has in house arguments. They just don't like rival wums and the mods are [HASHTAG]#spineless[/HASHTAG]

I'd prefer to liven up our board and reinstate all the banned people, I believe the list is fairly long!

Ha our mods are superb. We never hardly see them online<laugh>

They are like the ghosts of xmas past.

Yeah because Chris Coleman was so amazing before the Euros <laugh>

Coleman was the correct decision though given what had happened with Gary Speed. Could argue, he was the only option. Anyway, I always maintained that he should have had the jobe before Speed.

Yep, I'm on that list and I honestly don't even know why <laugh>
