We've an Alexa, ok for music but half the time you ask a question and she's no idea.

Then you're sat watching tv, no interaction at all and she'll suddenly read out the scores in the Johnsons paint trophy round one....

She doesn't do the lights either.
Typical woman. Useless and remembers everything you've said to use against you at a later date.

I have remote control lights in my living room and my bedroom. Can turn them on/off with the touch of a button on a remote.

Unfortunately they are ****ing ****e. In the living room they don't work consistently as the room is too big. In the bedroom they are super sensitive and any remote sets them off. When I'm scrolling through TV guide on Sky it is like epileptic hell with the lights flicking on and off everytime you press down on the Sky remote. I have no idea how to turn it off without changing all the lights which I can't be ****ed to do.

It's not really but the thought of having my every word recorded and logged is not for me at all.

Not hearing all that "if you've nothing to hide" ****e neither. Everyone has something to hide.

But really it's the idea of being recorded and logged in my own gaff.
Nah, I'm good turning off my own lights ta<laugh>

I don't want this recording everything malarkey but isn't it exactly the same on your mobile sucky?

Yeah can be especially with certain apps bro.
Many of these apps have no need to have access to your microphone, camera Contacts, keystrokes and such.

I’ve got fingers mate, literally one press and the light switch goes off.

No wonder so many kids are fat useless mongs nowadays.

I saw a video on youtube once where some millennial ****head couldn't open his car with his key fob, he was pressing the button and it wouldnt unlock, so the dumb **** called RAC and the guy came out, looked at him like he was a ******, flipped the key out of the key fob and opened the door to the car, and stood there in disbelief at how much of a ****ing spastic this kid was.

We've got an Echo. Use it mostly for playing music, getting news headlines and asking things like 'what's 157 cms in inches' when I need to know stuff like that quickly and amusing the grandchildren by asking it to bark like a dog or sing happy birthday. It's linked to our Philip's lights upstairs which is handy because the downstairs switch for the upstairs lights is broken.

It records everything after you say the trigger word and nothing else. All of which can be deleted. I'm hyper about my privacy and I'm not in the least bit worried that it's recording my conversations because I don't believe it is. All those that are concerned about it, does it bother you that your mobile phone may be recording your every word with the added extra that you take that everywhere you go,?

I don't want anyone to know I watch horse porn and I certainly don't want Amazon trying to flog me any because I've got all the good stuff <ok>

The mobile probably is recording everything.

With alexa or google though you know it's definitely listening 100% of the time because thats when it knows you are talking to it!

Listening isn't recording though is it? My dog jumps into action when I call it's name but completely ignores me the rest of the time. Is the dog listening and registering everything I'm saying just in case I call the name?

Does your dog have recording capabilities and a direct, wireless connection to the internet?
