The woman who runs the club was on Humberside a week or two back. She said they had indeed moved to St Marys but it is inadequate for all their needs. The only place that they can use to their full potential is the Airco.
For me, that makes it worse, as with a bit of decent handling, it could have taken up a lot less time, caused virtually no upset and maybe even supported. EDIT Just seen the other replies, and it's still wrong to shove people out, but for the first set of reasons.
We've tried to help them out... Supporters’ Trust gift money to the Electric Eels. please log in to view this image Attached is photograph of the presentation of a cheque for £2,000 to the East Riding Electric Eels Powerchair Football Club. This club is one of those being evicted from the Airco Arena by the SMC of the KC Stadium, though the legacy arrangement was made before this occurred. The money comes from the £18,000 being donated from the funds of the Tigers Co-operative to football-related good causes as part of the regeneration process of the supporters’ trust of Hull City AFC. Pictured is Frank Beill, ex-chair of the Tigers Co-op and member of the board of HCST handing the cheque to Lee Brennan, treasurer of the East Riding Electric Eels at their AGM at the Manor Farm pub on Wednesday 25 March 2015. Also in the picture are Margaret Beill and Pete Allison from the ERCFA.
As I understand it, the kids bouncing up and down stuff isn't a problem, but the elite trampoline people can't train as there no other building with a high enough ceiling.
At least they're pushing the idea it's purely from the Tigers Coop and nothing to do with hcst. Oh. Wait a sec. At least Dr Allams charitable donations are his to give and he's not trying to get publicity for someone else's money.
It's precisely because it's other peoples money, that we have to let people know what we've done with it, you dipshit.
Tell them not to jump so high then or lower the legs on the trampolines. What about digging a pit to put the trampolines in? FFS what's up with people these days?
I'll have you know that many supporters (including myself) donated money to the Tigers Coop when the club was in trouble. We were asked if we wanted it back, as the law changed regarding trusts and co-ops and most of us (myself included) said No, do something useful with it. So they have Nothing to do with the bloody Allams at all
How much did the Co-Op lose buying Tigers Lair? I voted at the time that the money should go to help ( sponsor) young players of Hull City AFC.
The donation to the Electric Eels will help disabled kids play powerchair football. I'd say that is something useful and you should be proud of how the Tigers Co-op distributed the money in your name. Big thumbs, Sir.
I'm perfectly happy with the coop donating their cash to charity. It's highly commendable. I'm less happy with this undoubted generosity being associated with Hcst. Its one thing stealing the trust status, it's entirely another thing making sure it appears that hcst is somehow also generous on the back of someone else's money.
They didn't buy the Tigers Lair, they gave them a loan to keep it open, it didn't work out and unfortunately they ended up losing about £10k.
We stole nothing, the trust merged at the end of last year and it's the new organisation that's distributing the money. Quite rightly, the original co-op members decided where the money should go and that's why it's Frank who's in charge of distributing it.
I attended one meeting whereby a cheque was presented to one of the beneficiaries, and it was made very clear that this was money that was left over from when the Cooperative merged with HCST. Your cynicism is seriously misplaced.
It takes just a touch of wisdom or common-sense to understand when such publicity is good publicity, which makes your post poor, but excusable.
