There are several Fairport Convention covers of Dylan songs in the link. I once played drums in an open mike night behind several FC members when they toured the Far East. On the same night Dave Mattacks was invited to join the house band as the bar owner didn't know who he was. Happy days

Oddly enough, I was listening to a Linda Thomson CD this morning, and when it came to one track I though "that must be Swarbs on fiddle", and when I looked, sure enough it was . The other fiddler I find recognisable is Aly Bain.

Personally I think vehicle crushing (or at least permanent confiscation) would deter a lot of dangerous road behaviour.
Folks who can't use their vehicle safely should lose it.

Anyone caught with a mobile or other device in hand while driving.
Drunk drivers
Dangerous drivers
Serious speeders (100mph+)
Any driver convicted of injuring somebody by careless driving (not fake whiplash claims)

Convict them and crush their motors.
Not immediately of course - we don't want to encourage stupid car chases as they try to escape.
But in a few days or however long it takes to do the paperwork.
No transferring ownership or other dodges like that.
Just tow it away & scrap it.

Those two idiots in that video also need to find the sense they were born with.
Not to twig that emergency lay-bys are covered by CCTV with people watching it all the time <laugh> <doh>

Add tailgaters to the list.

Many cars now have forward & rear dashcams.

It should be possible for footage of tailgaters to be sent to the traffic cops, so persistent offenders can be warned or cited.
But I guess the system would just get overloaded with millions of video clips.

Anyway, I'm wandering off the main topic of good news.

It's Sunday! :emoticon-0157-sun: a rest day for most of us. Got to be good news <ok>
