Off Topic Afternoon Drinking

I've been sitting in the Lounge at Gatwick for almost 3 hours steadily drink their "free" alcohol. I've another hour and a bit until the flight.

The sad part is I've been in the UK office today and yesterday but left the office at lunch time so I could "get to my flight on time" . With the sole purpose of getting here early to have a Friday afternoon drink!

You can take the boy out of Hawthorn Ave but......<cheers>

How do you blag free beer? I was in Birmingham International not so long ago, fiver a pint in the weathers.

I'm currently on an Aberfeldy Single Malt with a beer on the side, London Pale Ale. It's not always a good sign when I choose to "double up". I started off on Gin and Tonics and surprisingly they had 3 Gins on offer - which isn't bad for a lounge. I also had a little sojourn in the middle with some Pinot, "to pace myself" but the glasses were so small I was just knocking it back.

Can't find the gin thread so I'll put it here.

Mrs: I was in asda today and they've got that King of Soho gin you really like.
Me: did you get me a bottle.
Mrs: no get it yourself.
Charming,

Anyway I've tried king of soho at the gin festival and it's really good. A definite recommend.
I'm off there tomorrow if anyone wants one picking up.

I got my mrs a bottle of Bathtub Gin this week. It's quite different to typical Gin, I think.
