I think it may have been aimed at me O.S. as I posted the link to the story. Like you, I didn't think that it was any great secret that AVB was not happy with his contribution - and rightly so.

For information, I am also now amongst the number who are more than a just a little pissed off with Mr Adebayor, and his attitude.

I also agree that I cannot see how this is liable to harm team spirit in any way. Adebayor's current behaviour is much more liable to do that.

  2. OS / NSS - had a busy afternoon so not able to respond earlier.
Certainly not wanting to fall out with either of you and was not having a dig in my comments. Just saying how I feel about those type of stories and their timing, especially when there is **** all else negative to write about the club.

We all know that there are journos with agendas - if not 'affiliated' to certain clubs then certainly briefed to produce good news stories about them, sit on negative stories about them and in some cases plant stories about other clubs to foster dissent in the ranks. That happens across the board, not just against Spurs. (Although a good recent example for us was the way that a certain BBC News journo was clearly posting against us and for the Spammers over the Olympic Stadium decision.

The Ade situation is just quite simply the only even remotely negative story that could be launched at the moment - seeing as we have the MOM and POM, no issues on the pitch, a great setup off it and a great plan for the future in the new stadium.

I have no doubt that there may be some internal concerns about a certain player, but unless there is something factual to be critical about, then as a fan primarily what I am interested in is what I see on the pitch. Now if a player is going through a lean spell, but still trying his best then I am not going to fan the flames of dissent without some proof as I cannot see how that can help the club. If, on the other hand, that player goes public with comments against the club or shows dissent to his teammates and management on it, then I will be the first to want him out.

At the moment, I am still in the camp of 'innocent until proven guilty' - others may have a different opinion.

Enough from me on the subject - time to refocus on Sunday. COYS!!!!!

No problem, mate. Let's hope he scores a hat trick against The Goons.
