Anyone else think it would be a good idea for the new owners to appoint AP in some capacity to help them with the day to day running of the club ?. Surely they will need someone who has the experience to help them settle in till they find their feet so to speak ?
I like AP but FFS he's really not the only man in the world who knows how to run a football club. So no, not really.
Think he would jump at the chance if approached. Maybe not long term but someone to steady the ship for a short period ?
Theyll need somebody thats for sure. The Allams.Venkys,Vincent Tan and Chellino bare testament to that.
Chapman( apologize his first name slips my mind) after the way he was treated by the Allam's , he would be able to show the new owner's how not to run a club.
Pete Chapman advised the Allams for love, not money, he's already got his own business to run, he'll have no interest in working for Hull City full time. AP was great for us, but we've moved on and he shouldn't return.
No. He's in the past. He'd be a huge step backwards and falling down a few other steps. Plus he's a pen thief. I think.
Yes I think it would be a good idea but I can't see it happening due to Hull's current success. If we sell and Die Young and Hawkeye prove to be as bad as or even worse than the Allams, people will be clamouring for a safe pair of hands to rescue us. He's had his day? Like Deano when he came back in 2007 eh?
Amazes and saddens me equally how many people actively dislike AP. It sums up the direction our fanbase has moved in since 2008 for me. He'd be perfect for the role, but as someone else said, he's obviously not the only one. Just hope they get someone and take some good advice. One of the worst things the Allams have done is trying to control everything themselves and not appoint anyone with any sort of authority. It's absurd for a Premier League club to have just 2 directors and absolutely no one else making decisions.
