Players often want to pick their own numbers though. I did when I played at uni, I still have 88 on my back now when I play.

I honestly don't think it matters in the UK to be fair (Liverpool and Man City aside), abroad it's different because there's a lot more instances of youth players being called up to the first team.

Fofana signed for.. erm Goztepe SK on loan for the season (Chelsea can recall him in January though). Silly ****er, yeah hope you enjoy it there instead of playing in the Championship.

I thought he said 7 but I'm not sure what he said after that
but it ties in with the 8 that they said on the 1904 Club podcast

He talked about that though. He talked about how something went on with the striker option and how they might revisit it in January. He also talked about how he was pleased with the quality of our signings - which he is always going to say. He’s not going to say they are rubbish.

Again, this doesn’t need a Q&A for him to say that at this stage.
