I think our new owner coming onboard will be what we regret most. Does Gao really exist, or is he just a hologram front for some money laundering/asset stripping scam ?. No sign of him, and no sign that he cares, or understands anything about football. Surely if he did he wouldn`t have allowed the stagnation under MP2 to continue nearly as long as it did.
IF we go down, what`s he going to do ?. Parachute money will be spirited away. Our most saleable assets will go, leaving the ones on high wages that we can`t move on, and won`t have the fight to get us back up. I hope I`m wrong.
At least that nutter at Cardiff used to show up for games - and he had the good taste to change the strip from blue to red!

I hope those that parroted the company line about Cortese overspending and getting us into debt take note of the above. Whilst remembering that no club ever went bankrupt whilst *in* the PL.

The moment he went was the moment we stopped having a board that chased success, and started having one that chased profit. For their own gain.

No regrets, it’s been one hell of a ride.
Fate, as Tim Minchin suggested is “an inherently flawed notion” for reasons which are obvious to those who think about it, although people rarely do. The same goes for Karma.
As for playing in the Championship next year, I recall Kipling’s exceedingly good remarks;
“If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same...”
... I am tempted to say, you are unlikely to find this forum much to your liking<laugh>

You guys totally given up hope then?

Still got 4 games to go whilst you're 4 points behind Swansea.

Its not impossible.

Beat Bournemouth and beat Swansea and you're pretty much there!

Need Swansea to help you out and they have Chelsea next.

I haven’t, no. But we’re not terribly good at beating people, and we have to rely on Swansea doing nothing. Squeaky bum time.

Yeah.

Certainly running out of time very quickly.

Must beat Bournemouth.

If you do then there will be a big confidence boost.

We need to beat Bournemouth Saturday and win away at Swansea at the very minimum and hope Chelsea and Bournemouth beat Swansea .......then its squeaky bum time all round, but first we must win Saturday or the fat lady will start warming up her voice.

I'd rather not have had our season dependant on us beating Bournemouth, being a local derby of sorts, they will be motivated more than most I suspect. It ain't going to be a picnic at SMS on Saturday...:emoticon-0107-sweat
