Thats fine but then if the woman decides to keep it then she should **** off with the alimony/child support demands

works both ways

That is a difficult one. Personally I would favour an option for a father to declare legally his unwillingness to have anything to do with a child before it is born thus handing all rights and responsibilities to the mother should she choose to keep it.

Deaf and dumb is a little bit different from heart failure though isn't it

It boils down to the individual in the end, however I think parents are scared into making the abortion choice
The thing with disability is that things improve all the time, how do you know the child in your example couldnt get a heart for example?

parents think 'healthy' kids will live forever but that is a fallacy, and if you speak to Jip for example his little one was fine initially but isnt now

I have seen two parents who ignored doctors and one little lass lived to 16, the other one is still alive

As for the second part women will do whatever they like, doesnt make it right imo. As for the no one owns her I disagree when it comes to the issue of abortion, IMO the father has to have a say as the baby is owned by both.

You think he has the right to use physical violence against her, then, as a sort of co-owner of her pregnant body? That's a very ****ed up concept.

Dont know the answer either tbh, but again its these discrepencies that are imo ****ed up

I am with most things. And it's not like I preach about abortion if I'm not asked. I was talking to a bloke the other day whose bird has had 4 abortions in the last 5 years, and I didn't say a word.

What to **** does that say below your name?

Read it and weep Ciaran. Have you seen Gangs of New York, where there's a copper called Happy Jack Mulraney (played by the ugly ****er in Step Brothers and Talladega Nights)? Corrupt bloke who used to be one of the good guys in Priest Vallon's gang. That's gonna be me, but without the Irish accent

That is not what I am saying and I think you know that. Also I did ask what if they both consent? but even that is not the point

The point is is it a life at less than 24 weeks?

By the way there is no concrete way of knowing the number of weeks anyway as they go by the womans last cycle

In the real world, how would your suggestion be realized then?

I have no idea about the science of the matter and I won't pretend I do. I'm more concerned with the moral argument about a human being's innate control over their own body and how that affects the issue of aborting a parasitical baby.

For me its simple really if its not life its GBH on the mother, if it is then dont make abortion acceptable by saying its not life.

Women can go ahead with it but lets call it what it is

As for the moral argument I guess it depends on which morals you refer to, arguably sleeping around is immoral, not taking precautions in the first place is immoral

If after all that the decision is 'its my body and i choose to abort' fine but its irresponsible and murder
After all pregnancies last for almost 10 months, when does it stop being a parasite and when does it stop being her body?

For the people who think women should have control over her own body, does that mean she should be able to abort up until the moment of birth? If not, why not?

You should have the right to abort until they're 18, if they turn out to be useless to society then they're gone <ok>
