I am pro-choice. 24 weeks is too late though. At the end of the day, if I got drunk and slept with a girl that I didn't particularly like, knew nothing about and didn't want any future with (all been there) use a condom which tears and she ends up pregnant. I don't feel holey responsible for that child and I think that, if it is performed early enough, it is morally the right decision! I also believe the man should have some say as to whether or not the child is kept or aborted - either way!
I think the morality starts with you not having no feelings towards the lass but having sex anyway. Others having been there doesnt make it right of course depends on what you see as morality
I'd think it shocking and horrendous, but defend her right to do it. I'm not actually encouraging people to kill their unborn spawn here. Well, it would be a good start if the Mancs did it... No. Again, I'm talking about someone being allowed to do something rather than what they do being a particularly nice thing to do. With freedom comes responsibility, as they say. Cheating on someone and killing a baby just about to be born is obviously irresponsible, though I don't think either of those things merits violence towards the perpetrator, no matter how wrong their acts.
You still misunderstand the violence bit, I wasnt advocating violence. I was merely asking why one action counts as murder because it is 'life' yet its not 'life' to abort The responsibility coming with freedom in this scenario is towards the baby imo, that maybe in the form of contraception which is such now you shouldnt have to get to the abortion stages. And I dont think you can have it both ways either its her body to do as she wishes or isnt, otherwise it is hypocritical imo
Is it ironic that the OP is a Christian? God believes that having your child killed is the ultimate act, doesn't he? In all seriousness though, I think that abortion's just a very tricky subject. When does a foetus become a child and why? I'm basically pro-choice, but the limit currently seems too high and prevention should be promoted ahead of abortion, in my opinion.
I would say, if the woman is a scumbag and going to be a bad mother, she shouldn't have the choice of keeping it.
To be honest, i couldn't care less about abortion. I'm male, it'll never affect me, so i don't take an interest. Each to his own, as they say.
