Hang on a minute, he has NOT turned down Juventus. Paper talk suggested they were interested but we all know 95% of the time that is bollocks. Juve are linked this way to 20 strikers a week and even if they were interested it would be as back up to much better strikers. We do have fans who seem to make massive leaps from fact to fantasy. I can guarantee for example loads of people will think he's signing for £12m rather than 12million euro the same way all the media reported Di Maria as signing for £70m when it was 70m euro. He turned down Benfica.
Whilst we're here worrying about which £10m+ striker we'll end up with or whether this Henandez will do the business, spare a thought for poor old Leicester fans who are panicking they won't get anyone of reasonable quality in at all this window and will see out the campaign with a championship squad, whilst the charismatic Nigel Blockhead is getting irate and bursting blood vessels at interviews whenever asked about anything transfer related. If you want a laugh head over to the transfer talk section of foxestalk. Some quality content on there!
I think the Venky's will regret not giving in to Bruce. Rhodes will be now turned off with the club a little and end up starting to hate the place, with 5 years to run on his contract. They might be lucky to get 8mill for him when they eventually do sell
Agree to a certain extent with you, think the problem now for SB is that the closing date of the transfer window is getting very close and after getting caught out with the Long deal with WBA last year he's not prepared to risk it for Rhodes, were it would appear that any decision Blackburn take's involves a round trip to India, just isn't the time left to haggle with them. The other thing that stand out for me is that Rhodes could have put a transfer request in which he didn't, lack of ambition, happy in the championship, I don't know it's all if and but's.
More likely losing all the money owed to him. It's not like he'd come here for a pay rise, if anything it would be a cut, and if he asks for a move it would costs him easily 6 figures in loyalty payments.
If he actually wanted the dream move to play in the Prem, there's a good chance he did, I'm guessing he's be well pissed to have missed it and could very well not be that interested in putting 100% for Blackburn, let's see...
Wouldnt you have thought it a good idea to actually look into something if you're not sure rather than post a definitive answer?
Apart from hope is there any evidence to suggest this guy will actually set the house ablaze. All the evidence I see points to him being a bit part player at best.
I don't know but if we'd had him at the same time as that Sunderland loanee and Whitehurst, our front three would certainly have been Reddy, Willy and Abel.
