IMHO this is nothing like signing a championship player or Ligue 1 player, it's a gamble yes, but I reckon him and Jelly will be the perfect partnership.

Look, he's exceptionally quick which is something we need. As in, unbelievably fast. He's young, exciting and has turned the heads of Benfica and Juventus... I don't claim to know him inside out but his name surprised me, would have thought a bigger club would be looking at him. Risky, maybe, but he who dares wins....
 
Remember when the Maguire deal was 'dead and buried' about 24 hours before we signed him? Could be trying to force blackburns hand on this. Who, incidentally, I think are bring extremely foolish for rejecting 12 million for Rhodes....

Having looked at this I would be very wary of signing Hernandez for such big money. Bruce has done so well signing British players that this is a big risk! I would much rather have Rhodes but I will trust in Bruce to have got it right like he usually does!
 
Neither have scored in the Premiership.

However. Rhodes has scored in English football against players and teams who have been in the Premier League and has been one of the top scorers every year for 4 years. Most of our players played in the Championship and made the step up to the Premier League.

Based on Bruce's comments this morning, I'd say the Rhodes deal was 100% dead and buried.

Maynor Figueroa speaks fluent Spanish I believe.
 
I think a lot on here seem to forget we have Aluko, Sagbo, Jelly and Ince who can also play as a forward..

Add Hernandez to the team and I think we look very good.

We have strength and power at the back, creativity in the midfield and pace out wide/up front. We have all the right ingredients imho to push for a top half finish.
 
If this come off we have spent over £30M on transfers............I'll say that again Hull City in this transfer window have spent £30M+.
