At plan e he isn't going to be all that, I think. Hope I am proved wrong. Gamble, as he isn't English league proven which is why we went balls out for JR.
Oh shut up you negative NOB, for gods sake, we have signed a top class striker, you wont be moaning when he starts smash'em in
This for me is a very risky transfer. We've pocketed circa 2.5m from the Long deal and taking a gamble on a decent prospect, but one that probably can't speak very good English, has never played in the PL and has a questionable injury record, he has got an ok ish goal record. If I'm honest I would rather have kept Long - he had a decent partnership with Jelavić and chipped in with goals and helped create hassle and harry chances for the team. It's a massive gamble by Bruce - who clearly wanted Rhodes as his first choice. Perhaps we should have tried the resolve of Blackburn before parting with Long.
Anyone else sick of the "oh he hasn't played in the Prem" argument? As surprising as it may seem - every single player at one point has never played in the Prem! I hope those who use this argument question every single transfer made by every club...
nobody listens to you...your posts are pointless drivel...stop wasting your life posting on a forum and get a life you freak
It's a valid point. Higher rated players have failed to cut it in England, and it's not uncommon for it to happen. If I'm not mistakes I also think its players from the Italian league that tend to struggle most. Osvlado was a real big hit for saints wasn't he? Although this guy looks like he could potentially turn out to be better than either Rhodes or Long, there's considerable risk involved else I'm sure he would have been Bruce's first port of call.
seriously have you had help with your Asparagus Syndrome, your not alone, help is there if you want it Macca
Rhodes can't even get in the Scotland squad. Glenn Murray can knock 30 goals in the championship but is only a benchwarmers for palace because premier league is another level. Long has gone, Rhodes deal is dead, move on and look forward to watching a player that has scored 7 international goals in 14 appearances in a team where he is competing with Suarez and Cavani for a starting place.
Seriously, have you have any help with your 'Asparagus Syndrome'? You're not alone - help is there if you want it Macca. See, not hard is it? It's called punctuation petal. Try using it.
