Maybe, I said in my opening post that I’d take Ramsey at United.

Yep, he's a quality player with a good engine who always gives 100%. Not sure why we're not offering him a new contract tbh.

It’s happened too many times at Arsenal over the last couple of years, He’s better than most of your midfielders personally.

Depends what his demands are, length of contract etc. He’ll be 28 soon.

I think the Ozil contract has created problems at Arsenal, paying that ****er £350k per week has opened Pandora's box and it looks like Ramsey's agent has said 'My client has given you years of dedicated service, is a regular starter, has directly contributed to winning trophies and wants a contract to reflect that'

I think it's right that the club aren't held to ransom, but I think it would be a mistake losing Ramsey, especially on a free.

Absolutely. Was a crazy situation to let Ozil and Sanchez enter the last year of a contract and an even crazier one not to just tell Ozil to get stuffed. No one would have given him half that.

Even with that though, Ramsey should be offered a three year deal with a guaranteed basic of something like £100k and incentivised with appearances and the rest. If not, good luck to him.

Bollocks innit ?

Totally.

He's hardly a brand name, like your Ronaldo, Beckham, messi etc. He's just an ordinary player.

I personally think they should all be paid the same (at each club). Having one on 350k and another on a pauper 50k can't be good for moral.

Apparently he's on £110k atm, so he could reasonably ask for £150k. But if it's as reported and he's asking for Ozil wages then the club are right to tell him to do one.

Agree with that, and I think the wages should be set and capped by the FA/UEFA. Would stop clubs buying success by being able to bribe the best players and it would stop the mercenary players from holding their clubs over a barrel.

It would also stop the agents acting like sharks and screwing the clubs from their own gain.

A wage cap would only ever work if it was universal, a pipe dream sadly,

True, it's an idealistic solution. But would have to be implemented globally to be effective.

It's not even just in Europe now, when you've got teams like ****ing Xiencheng Wanderers offering players £600k to go and play in China.

You must be fuming at Wenger for agreeing to put Popeye on that kind of money, yeah?

At the time, Popeye was threatening to leave, but when absolutely no one came in for him, he thought to himself, “Oh, well. I’ll screw as much as I can out of these dozy fcukers!”

Do you think Wenger did that on purpose?
