Apparently Arsenal had a contract in place for him and then withdrew it. I can only assume that his agent has been pushing for something unrealistic and the club have called his bluff and told him to 'take it or leave it'. When the agent hasn't budged the club have pulled the plug. If this is the case, then I commend Arsenal for not being held to ransom.
As for Ramsey, I'm a bit gutted to see him go, because he's been a decent player for us and committed to the cause. He's also scored some really important goals for us, including the winner against the Chavs in the FA cup final in 2017. But he hasn't exactly been pulling up trees for us and to be honest, his best days were when he linked up with Giroud in the box, when he made runs from MF.
Other than that, his play is quite slow and he often stifles our attack by passing sideways and backwards. He's a tidy player, but he doesn't really excel at anything. Doubt we'd sell him to Utd, Chelsea, etc. But maybe a club like Southampton or Everton possibly.
Reckon we'll go in for Eva Bangea as a replacement. Although he's now 30, he'd offer us far more going forward than Ramsey.
