Excellent stuff GR. That's a fine talent you have there. You would've got on well with Brixton he was a keen artist, as is Rebel not taken.
Who are they meant to be? Lee Cook, Martin Rowlands, Matthew Connolly, Mikele Leigertwood and Danny Glover? Only joking, you did a very good job
Well done to you, GR. It is so obvious that we QPR fans are extremely talented, well.............. some of us .............. ok, some of you! Hope it brings you much pleasure and a bit of coin wouldn't hurt either.
Absolute quality Gloucesterâ¦but you wouldn't want to meet Phil Parkes in a dark alley anytime soon!
Cheers to everyone that commented, very much appreciated. Of course I should add that all offers for it would be considered
I have a Facebook group that I put any new art into. Only 137 members in it...mostly family and friends but it's growing slowly.
Sign them then frame them and put them up for auction. That sort of quality is always in demand. Get a reputation and you are away.
Many an artist works from photographs these days... for interpretation, inspiration or as a challenge of their abilities. Nothing unusual or wrong with that if the owner/viewer enjoys the talent in creating it.
Was that done from scratch using just a pencil, eraser and paper? Or was it a few clicks on a computer? See THAT'S a difference in art. Comes in many forms, some easier than others. Even your little mock up is classed as digital art. It's the effort and ability in creating or recreating that people appreciate mostly, not the ability to buy a program to do it for you. Good effort though.
I did forward your work to Ian taylor our PR man but seems a) maybe does not promote fans work or B) as he was a spurs fan at the time apparently he dont know the five superstars drawn
Art is a creation of talent and skill. To mirror a photograph or alike takes great skill. We may think it is easy but within a few short seconds of attempting such a feat, you can tell who has the skill and who hasn't. Even if you were to trace it, takes great skill to get it perfect ......... whereas, the other 99% of us would just do an average job. Make no mistake ............ the gentleman has skill by the bucket loads.
I think Rembrandt was an artist, I think Monet was an artist, I think many other people are artists. You have a skill to copy, you are not an "Artist"
So I assume you don't see Van Goughs 'Sunflowers' as art, because following your argument, it was just a 'copy' ?? Or does it have to be a copy of a photo that doesn't fit your definition of 'Art' ?? If that's the case then you are quite frankly talking bollox.
