20m is clearly way over the top for Kebab but I'd prefer to see him stay. Still a talented player and no guarantee the money will be reinvested like most of the Carroll money. It is not really up to the club or manager, the real world is that players do as they please contracted or not. If they wave enough money under his nose then he'll be no different to any other footballer on the planet. Just the way it goes.
 
I'm not averse to Cabaye leaving especially if its 20 million plus as long as the money is reinvested into the team and some decent quality is brought in.
 
We're a funny club at times. Look down the road in ****sville and they're on the verge of losing their two best players. Yet we are the club in crisis after a few background changes. You gotta love it really.
 
I have just read on the bbc teletext that Firstrowsports is under threat from the premier league

the league want ISPs to cut off access to Firstrow1.eu
this could be the beginning of the end of free football


anyone else heard anything ???

Not heard anything about it but haven't exactly been trawling around for news. Doesn't really affect me as I've been going to all the away games anyway. Trust the big boys to try and spoil things for those that can't get to the games though.
 
It's been there abouts 48 hours and the only news to come from the club is that Chiek Tiote has wound up in court for dodgy I.D. Hatem Ben Arfa is believed to be seeking a new contract, despite never being fit long enough to actually honor his current one, oh and also Robert Lee has come out to join the countless others to express their anger at how diabolically run the club is and has been for far too long.

I was hoping for more of "Consortium takes interest in Newcastle Utd" or "Kinnear receives marching orders for preposterous radio tirade" or at least a "Toon make offer for young starlet Will Hughes" or a "Mike Ashley appoints a Public Relations manager in bid to rekindle frustrated fans"

But this wouldn't be Newcastle United would it?

Bailey put the story on the backburner. Hence it is obviously of very little importance. Why you expected it to be something major Christ only knows.
