Whenever I see that Eagle I hope that it will either mistake Holloways head for a landing post/ or fly off to a better place

I can see now why Palace changed their name from the Glaziers...

Long before my time but my father told me about it. Not sure if it was at BP or Anlaby Road.

Kinda weird that no one else remembers it or refers to it, or remembers reading about it, or remembers other people reading/hearing about it.

Did it live in the groundman's hut?

2 things.

1. Brady, that is quite obviously a bos primigenius. Or in simple terms for a simple man, a cow. You must be educated on the species' we share the planet with.

2. Macca if you say WKD is **** again, I will find where you sit and skin you to make boots with. No male must insult the divine masculine holy drink, it's blasphemy, and sacrilege to spill a drop.

Think your dad's memory is not very good. There was an instance of a tiger being lead around the pitch, there are photos of it somewhere, but not of a tiger in a cage. It was only a one off and not a regular occurence.
Don't you think if this used to happen there would be recordings or photos of it and it being mentioned fairly often?

Perhaps it was Roy Kirk and his Tiger mascot.

In the 60s my team Sporting Lisbon had a Lion to show fans before every match. Unfortunetly now that isn't allowed. But the ****s from Benfica still have an eagle flying before every home game.
