Now you're getting it.
****ve is a bitter manure wum who had to change his name because he was hated as such. Getting back on the Benitez trail, he is a professional manager and did well with a jaded overated poor Liverpool squad. At Chelsea he was hated by the dressing room and the fans but for Chelsea to go on and win the Europa league says more about the leadership of the dressing room than it does about Benitez.

Seems legit.

Your insults are always so innovative Queenie. Really a joy to be part of. Keep up the good work old man!
Indeed he did with the luckiest result in history, closely followed by uniteds win against Bayern & Chelsea
This. People go on about how lucky we were v Bayern and Barca in 2012. They should watch our games v Brentford, Steaua Bucharest, Sparta Prague, Rubin Kazan and Benfica to see how lucky we were against much worse opposition. Although to be fair, Benfica played some excellent football against us. So unlucky: lost their seventh European final in a row against us. the only credit Rafa can take that season was for the collapse of our title challenge and losing us the easiest World Club championship and carling cup in years (Swansea semi, Bradford final) Like I said earlier, we were three points behind United whenhe took over and 19 behind three months later
U rrrrs are obsessed with Chelsea and any potential racial incidents, but did you really bother watching our Europa League campaign ?
A bit odd how you try and shoehorn that into every thread. I obviously didn't watch every game and analyse in as much depth as you seem to with every game of the last 45 years but I, as all football fans did, saw plenty of Benitez' time with Chelsea and it really wasn't as bad as people try and make out in order to tarnish him, particularly given the ridiculous vitriol thrown at him by the so-called support
Really, we played our worst football and had our worst league record under him since 1995/6 season Pot kettle black maybe, Duchess?
Yet still won a European trophy with a squad Di Matteo couldn't get out of the CL group and finished third a year after a similar squad finished fifth, all while the fans hated him and chose to express it so openly in spite of the effect it could have on the team. Did Mourinho really do that much better the season after with all the money spent, fans fapping over him no matter how well or badly they played and with a group of players playing for a permanent manager rather than a temp?
To be fair, that was a bloody tough C.L group, and those sides were better than anything we faced in the Europa League (maybe Benfica aside). Fans have a right to express their opinion. Rafa wasn't wanted before, during or after his reign by most fans. Least we can't be called fickle
RDM focused on the double by April winning the Champions League and FA cup so had a better excuse for poor league form than FSW. His mandate was to win CL. When Rafa took over his mandate was to challenge for the title. To be fair to DI Matteo, who you cold argue had a squad worse than Rafa's (only one playmaker against Rafa's three, no Oscar Hazard), if he had not had cup games v Napoli, Barca, Bayern, Spurs and Liverpool, he would most likely have got top four. We had much better season under Jose last year: strong title and Champions League challenge until mid April. Did Jose really spend that much money summer 2013. He bought Schurrle and Willian I think, but you follow the Blues as fanatically as your fellow Rrrrrs so maybe you can tell me
And if Benitez didn't have European and domestic cup games you'd likely have got plenty more league points. Di Matteo hardly had a poor squad and then got Hazard for the start of the season he got the boot.
Not necessarily. Rafa was told to focus on league not Europa, and played strongest teams in Prem and cup games at Wembley not Europa. RDM was told to focus on CL and played weaker sides in Prem. Our 11/12 squad was the worst we have had under Roman by a king way. It improved hugely under RDM with the additions of Oscar, Azpi, hazard etc and we were much better 12/13 until RDM was sacked rightly or wrongly due to poor defence. I have no doubt RDM would have sorted it and won Carling cup v Bradford and world club championship v ordinary Corinthians plus a top four place. Europa league is a joke so who cares about that. We would have maintained a top two or three place under RDM and had a much better season had he been given chance to fix it IMO. Roman got Rafa in to challenge for the title as our form had dropped. Which Rafa failed to do. I reckon RDM would have at least matched Rafa's points tally, maybe bettered it and won those cups
