We really need to win this to avoid dropping into the bottom three spots. In fact we need to win every home game against the teams that are going to finish in the bottom half.Assuming that we are in the bottom half that means nine home wins =27 points. We've already dropped four of those against QPR and Hammers.

we only won 7 home games last year and finished on 47 points
agree we want to be winning this game if possible but liverpool are no pushovers. they've been a bit like us so far. played pretty well but not got the results to go with the performances. it doesn't matter if we are in the bottom 3 at any stage this season, so long as we are not at the end of may.
no need for worrying if we don't win on saturday.
You are correct, if we didn't win Saturday I still wouldn't be worried. Wouldn't stop an avalanche, and I mean "day after tomorrow" wrath of god avalanche of worrying and negativity that will come our way if not.
If we draw it'll be "boring Hughton going for the draw" ... I despair sometimes...

To be honest I thought Liverpool played very well against a poor Man U side and were just unlucky on the day. Having said that I'd like you to beat them just because there's something so smug about Brendan Rodgers that I can't stand the bloke.
Bottom 3 after 5 / 6 games doesn't mean too much. We should have caned Spurs but didn't and now need a result gainst West Ham. One win at this stage gets you straight to mid table so fear ye not. The only problem I forsee is the longer a team goes without a win the more the doubt and nerves creep in.
Stick with it, Hughtons a good bloke / manager but more conservative than Lambert maybe and hence the focus on conceding less and not scoring more?
