It’s already been confirmed he can leave for nowt. Bartemue or whatever he’s called is trying to stop it but he has a clause to revoke the last year of his contract.

City would be the one I’d expect tbh.

Not sure that debate has ended yet mate, we’ll see.

I hope he does go to City, it’d be boss. Plus the popcorn element would be quite exquisite.

I don’t hate Liverpool that much more than City to share this view.

I hope Barca sack Bartemue and he stays there.

Yeah I get that.

I reckon he could actually go this time. It’s now or never for him, and I reckon he’s defo wanting away.

Messi wants to play for Bielsa! Heard it here first!:emoticon-0126-nerd:

Seriously though, who can afford his wages? City, PSG, somewhere in China or Middle East?

It’ll depend on whether he can leave without his release fee being paid, which is circa €640M lol.

If there’s no way around that, and Barca don’t play ball, then he’s going nowhere.

If he can get released, then it’ll be PSG or City imo.

He missed the June 10 deadline to leave for free and Barcelona have told him to speak to their lawyers <laugh>

On a football level, he should join Man City. They’re about as close as he’ll get to a club where he will thrive in his style and win everything.

From a commercial point of view, we could take him to another level. He would be seeing numbers that no football player should be dreaming of, from commercial activity on top of what would probably be £1m+ per week in wages.

I don’t think he’s going to choose money over football, because he’d just stay at Barca. I can’t see past City, unless The Qatari’s offer him some sort of ridiculous back hander circumventing football altogether, like a Billy.

What do Messi and Maguire have in common?

They both got 21 month suspended prison sentences, and neither of them would start for Liverpool.

You’ve all missed out on signing Eze for a song and now he’s gone to ****ing Palace.

That's a really solid signing. He wanted to stay in London. Great little player. Disappointed Leeds couldn't tempt him out of London. We enquired about him in January. Got a feeling this one may come back and bite us.

Good to see he got his move to the Premier league though.

He has a point about Messi and Maguire though, can you imagine either of them wanting to turn out for Liverpool's first team <laugh>

don’t want messi dribbling past maguire when both on same side.

One thing worth saying on Messi. The minute the United stories start up in MSM, you can bet your last quid he’s getting a new contract at Barca.
