People like him you cannot take seriously.@DickPlumb
I see Jeddez is now denying that Bowyer has a tiny budget - despite LB saying as much.
Apparently it’s all a cunning plan to lure other clubs into thinking we are underdogs
You also nailed the idiot on the argument that we are stepping up a level with an even smaller budget than last season.
I can’t help feeling with people like Jeddez that’s it’s now gone beyond just cravenly defending Duchatelet at every opportunity - it’s about saving face as a forum contributor when you have so publicly defended the indefensible.
That's the Aribo money goneAccording to Bexleyboy on ITTV Charlton will be signing Leyton Orient's Macauley Bonne this morning on a four year deal.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macauley_Bonne
According to Wiki, 23 year old Bonne is under contract with Orient until summer 2020, so presumably we are paying a fee for him. The fee is apparently £200,000.
Bonne earned the right to step up one league (from 5th to 4th tier) when Orient were promoted.
Now we are offering him the chance to step up another two leagues.
The four year deal is interesting (if true).

I thought the same thing.
A highly talented home grown midfield dynamo replaced by a Zimbabwean lower league journeyman.
A certain J Vardy came direct from non-league football, what happened to him?

Ian Wright came from Greenwich Borough![]()
Had been some talk that [HASHTAG]#cafc[/HASHTAG] interested in Admiral Muskwe but that isn't true. Shame, if just for the headline potential alone. From Rich Cawley.

Charlton Athletic keen on a deal for Bristol Rovers man

Charlton Athletic are interested in a deal for Bristol Rovers defender Tom Lockyer.
The South London Press understands the Addicks are chasing the 24-year-old.
But Lockyer, a free agent at the start of next month, has a number of clubs in the mix.
The former Cardiff City youngster, capped five times by Wales, has played 284 times for Rovers and scored seven goals. Lockyer can also play as a defensive midfielder.
Another potentially interesting signing , but once again a step up. Bristol Rovers have struggled in League 1.
