@DickPlumb

According to Twitter we are signing Tyrone Mears.

Free agent RB.

He is well past his best at 36 years old. Was good ten years ago. I would much prefer Nathan Thompson, but Mears is the cheaper option. It doesn't look like the Hamed move is going to be ratified by the FA. He will have to go to div1 or abroad on loan until January. I wonder if Bowyer will bring in a free agent on a short term contract?

Peterborough wanted 10M, we offered 2M. That wasn't ever going to be successful. Peterborough always get top dollar for their players.

Hemed's transfer from Brighton has been passed back to the EFL, who will add it to the agenda at their next meeting, whenever that is. Shockin, juss shockin. I wasn't wholly serious when I said the EFL must have a grudge against Douchatelet, but now I'm not so sure. He has ordered them to buy Charlton he has ranted on national radio about how "stoopid" they are, I think now they are being just as spiteful as he is.

Now Duchatelet might understand what it feels like to be a powerless protester trying to oppose somebody who won't listen and doesn't care.
Until he annoys them enough, at which point they begin making life difficult out of spite.

Oh, the delicious irony...
