If it is, I sincerely hope Bowyer does not try to kid Charlton fans that Harriott is a great signing and he's really chuffed to get him and he's been on the radar for ages and... well you get the idea. More of that kind of nonsense.

If he does, his reputation as someone who "tells it like it is" will take a serious knock.
.....or he could say " We hoped to get a better quality of player than Callum, but Yellow Teeth wouldn't pay, so he's all we can afford. Sorry". How would that sit?

With Chuks Aneke injured for two weeks it looks as though we are going into the opening game with only two striker options - one of whom is Bonne from non league football. It’s very reminiscent of last season and being forced to use hopeless Reeco Hackett-Fairchild. If Bowyer does start with a 4-4-2 on Saturday with Taylor & Bonne up front he will have no striking options to come off the bench. Laughable.

Last season we couldn't even start with 2 strikers after January, so Douchatelet will feel he has pushed the boat out.

Bow won't start 4-4-2 … he will start 5-3-1-1 with Williams as a number 10 behind Taylor

I noticed Rangers beat Derby 1-0(should have been about 6) the other day. Maybe Aribo made a good choice afterall.

Derby County have offered £10m for Bielik - multiple sources.

I thought Derby had already signed him.

If they have (or do) then Bielik will be playing against Charlton on 19th October* and 29th December.*

* that little card you get with your season ticket is so handy! :emoticon-0126-nerd:

10 Million for Bielik. He is good but is he worth 10M, of course he isn't. The money in the Premiership is out of control and some Championship Clubs are trying to chase the dream.

Agreed, but it’s like complaining about the weather. This is the reality of the market we are in. Bielik will more than double in value if he has another good season under contract.
Still, we have 3 days to replace him...and Cullen.....oh.....and Aribo.

The money in the championship is ridiculous tbh there is no way clubs in our league can afford to be paying out 10mil on multiple players surely

It seems that somebody has had a medical, but there won't be an announcement until tomorrow.

If it's Callum Harriott then it isn't going to sound any better tomorrow than it would today. So why don't they get it over with?

Umm, it seems that the only signing yesterday was Maynard-Brewer extending his contract... why would he have needed a medical?

after the interview yesterday it's plain to see that RD prefers us in L1 as the financial fair play in L1 means he loses less. he wont sign players as it means we'll return to where he wants us quicker.

he's holding on for the land value. that's the only explanation. cut losses down to a minimum, land value only goes up. sell the land for development when he thinks people dont care enough.
