If worst comes to worst I'll spoil my ballot paper as a protest vote just to let them know I don't like what any of them stand for - but I'd still be using my right to vote.
For a long time parliament has been working at odds with the will of the people, and it's reflected in a big reduction in connection with the electorate.
In my opinion there are far too many career politicians who have a degree in political studies, and not enough candidates with experience of life, business and a big cross section of society
People died to give us freedoms. That includes the freedom to decide whether we want to vote or not.Much as I agree with your overall sentiment marra I think it's imperative that we back someone. People died for us to have the vote and we simply have to use that privilege!
It was a vote based on gut feeling, together with the jingoism and racism pushed by the S*n and the Mail. There were very few facts on which to base an informed opinion.
Both sides tried to use scare tactics.
Three and a half years down the line we know a lot more about the damage leaving will cause.
We are about to become a second rate power, kow-towing to the USA.
As for being self-serving and undemocratic, well that applies to every political party.
Disenfranchising the 48% is a bit undemocratic isn't it?
It's a sad, sad, world at the moment.
Apologies. I should have said that I would always use my vote for that reason.People died to give us freedoms. That includes the freedom to decide whether we want to vote or not.

Agreed, but they would, I imagine, also be appalled with those that choose not to vote.People died to give us freedoms. That includes the freedom to decide whether we want to vote or not.

I personally think that not making the effort to vote is an insult to those people who fought so hard for us all to have it. It would not be a surprise either, if those that do not vote turn out to be the ones that complain so bitterly about how things pan out afterwards. If none of the parties sound credible, spoiling the ballot paper is a vote.
Despots gain power because of people’s disinterest, ignorance, or belief that their vote would not make a difference. Without it democracy dies.
cannot believe the voting mind, comisar Corbyn and cant count Abbot who wants to leave the door open to the uneducated.........what a comedy team Abbot and Corbynello
cant vote lived in europe for 20 years but would vote for Brexit would affect me financially but Britain comes firstWhere is your X going?
I don't think it's an insult, at all. I don't buy into the 'They died so we could vote' line. They died so we could have our freedoms, mainly. One of them freedoms is that we can choose to be whoever we want in this country. Do you turn out every year for the LGBT march in your hot pants, crop top and lipstick? If you don't, is that not an insult to the men who died so people can have that freedom?Agreed, but they would, I imagine, also be appalled with those that choose not to vote.

True. "All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing " - or something like that.Agreed, but they would, I imagine, also be appalled with those that choose not to vote.

Difference is that I don't give a stuff about LGBTI don't think it's an insult, at all. I don't buy into the 'They died so we could vote' line. They died so we could have our freedoms, mainly. And people think the same about politics.Difference that I don't give a stuff about LGBT
I think that they already do afaikusually the case in anything that those who set out to do the least , are the ones who complain most about other people’s efforts.
As I alluded to before , a spoilt paper is only a vote if they’re made to declare the number of them when announcing the results .
With a lot less reason imo but each to their ownAnd people think the same about politics.
PS. As the generator of a thread on who to vote for you appear to have moved to the role of devil's advocateAnd people think the same about politics.
