No, I really don't like Ulysses. That's a personal opinion I formed, the horses form, for me, is not what I would consider good enough for a G1 winner. Unfortunately you weren't at the forefront of my thoughts when I was writing that :(

I still didn't mind him winning tje race, I knew is was a poor field and that he may well win it.

I gave my unbiased opinion, you took it the wrong way because it went against yours, ie nothing was going to turn up and COM would be a 6/4 penalty kick. I then pointed out that your angle about Ascot being close to the race was wrong. Was nothing personal.

Cliffs Of Moher wasnt good enough today, the incident wasnt ideal but he didnt do anything to suggest he would have been better than 3rd and Eminents run backs that up based on the Derby form.

I say you cannot predict what may have happened but for him nearly being put on the deck. Happy enough to move on now thanks.

Well done all on the winner.

Interesting to see where they go with Barney Roy next!

Its TNO in the Champion Hurdle all over again. <yikes>

Difference there was that TNO actually finished like a train in 3rd and there was a reasonable argument to make about him going very close.

Cant see the argument for Cliffs Of Moher today, as I said, hes not on the same planet as the only Derby horses who have won this race in recent times, Hawk Wing, Sea The Stars and Golden Horn.

No there wasn't. The pro's knew he was a level below the best. His fans wouldn't listen to any argument against.

All your good work unravels in one sentence.

Its impossible to argue that TNO wouldnt have went close that year.

The Pros are fully aware of this.

Well done on getting the winner chaps.

TNO - oh deary me. The pro's were proven right that year and every year since. I hope Ulysess's winnings have adequately compensated for The New One's losses.

I never knew people got so excited and uppity over backing or selecting a winner of a horse race. Then again, I'm emotionless much of the time, I need to get out of my bubble.

Hence why my posts are mainly poking fun on here lately, too much of the "look at me, look at me" syndrome.

Its the Eclipse, it was the race of the season, a historic win. Not as if its the last at wolves, these days dont come around too often.

Every one of your posts comes across as a wum to me apart from the recent ones on this thread, seems like you are always trying to rile with your posts which I have no problem with now and again, but constantly it does become annoying.

You've been reading my general chat pish <ok> rarely post here anymore.

I have no care for the Eclipse. A win at Bellewstown would be the same as the Eclipse unless I was involved with the horse in someway personal.

Dk your talking about Ulysses as though he's the best group 1 winner of the century. He barely hung on, another yard and he'd have lost. In fact he did his best to throw it away. Considering Decorated Knight and Cliffs of Moher didn't get to show they're running I'd take a dim view of the form. He has basically won a two horse race even though he was second best.

Ya came cruising, saw the finishing line, decided he wasn't having it, tried to pull himself up, just too late. Definition of a dog.

Just noticed Eminent tried to bite Decorated Knight with a couple of furlongs to go.
