Finally Reading away - good run, great ball from Hudds - didn't show amazing pace to score the goal

I think we're seeing different things - I see him getting played in and going one on one with the keeper. Not due to his pace but a well timed pass and run. You could find examples of Teddy Sheringham going through on goal but not due to his pace.

Agree to disagree?
Did you see his goal at Reading? Huddlestone hit it and he ran on to it. Abel isn't slow. It always helps if a pass is well timed.

Same Blackburn home - nothing to do with pace

Mate if your determined to get your point across he has no pace (which i disagree....... try Blackburn away pretty sure he was played through the middle and rounded the keeper.....

Not saying he's slow Peter - he's got good pace (quicker than Rhodes) - just not enough to worry an average paced defender. I think we need a Marne, Gray, Long pace striker

I not saying he's not got pace - just he's average. We need someone quick.

I wanted Gray but that's not going to happen now. If we need a striker and a good striker becomes available we should consider seriously.

I reckon Akpom might be back, which will send a lot of people on here into a frenzy, he's one of those players written off by some last season under Bruce who I reckon can do a job under Phelan

Huddlestone is more a 'keep things chugging along' kind of midfielder, that's why we need someone with pace and who can link up even more with the forwards.
