Rumour on Twitter suggesting City now won't buy BOTH Hendrick and Mason due to Hernandez to Villa falling through.

Can't see that theory being true, but interesting if it is.
 
It can't depend on the Abel fee... Most of it would have gone immediate on a replacement.

Although we may have had a bit extra for one of those two if we decided to do both.

I can see one of the other confirmed. Mason first choice.
 
Anyone else think there's a few shenanigans going on between City and Villa over strikers? They go for one of ours so we go for one of their other targets, they fail to get ours so they gazump our offer on the other target, then suddenly we're after one of theirs???

Maybe the Chinese will merge the two clubs and play in Sheffield? That will solve the problems.

Mason and Henrikson from Alkmaar for me.

The fact Sky reported 'firm interest' I found a little strange and smacked of a back up plan 'potentially'.

Those two plus Marshall and Keane is four but feel we need another one plus loan a right back until Jan.

However if we DO sign Hendrick then we are well truly covered in central midfield; plus it's worth noting Mason started his career as a right back?

All conjucture to be clarified over the next 36 hours or so
