Im hoping we see some transfer activity today... im not fussed about getting playing signed in time for the utd game, but not many players are signed on a weekend and then we have a bank holiday.... so just tuesday and wednesday to get 5-6 players through the door. It's not looking too good is it..

I don't think football clubs take bank holidays off...

Just the other day it had West Brom as favourites to sign him on loan.. now they're out of the picture? (literally)

He sure has but...Davies came back to form and Dawson was top man and skipper last season. Hard but true.
He's got a chance to get in now and not let Dawson back in.

He really is a top prospect, which is why other clubs have been sniffing around. Delighted that we are holding onto these two rising stars. As good as signing a new player or two - well almost ;)

Yes, he has that chance. Though has been unlucky, being injured whilst Dawson was out, and if he doesn't play Saturday, as I expect Phelan to go with Livermore at the back with Davies, we are then into the international break, his chance will come at Burnley. By that time Dawson will be on his way to recovery, so it doesn't give him much time to establish himself.

I may be wrong about this, but I'm pretty certain the PL don't pay out their big fat wad until the end of the season? I swear I remember reading about their payments being staged with the lions share being the last, and only the guaranteed share of the TV deal being paid up front. Assuming that's the case, where does the cash for player purchases come from?
