As today is really the last day we can get anybody in and registered before the season starts, we need to see something in the next few hours. I know registration is 12 tomorrow, but a signing on a Friday morning isn't very likely.

I feel if we just get a cb in, we'll have a decent starting 11 with players mainly playing in preferred positions.

I really like Chester but no way is he worth 8 million (Villa have bid 8m+ too)

He's good but at that price, not value.

going by the prices lately i think £8million for an international defender like chester is a reasonable price

It's over 8m that Villa have bid. Would you want us to spend 9m/10m for Chester?

Must be better value out there.

It has worked really well putting the takeover talks on hold to focus on transfers! I love how the squad is pulling together with some nice additions. Well done Ehab - You lying ****.
The **** will be sat at home laughing whilst Leicester are battering us.

And to spin that the other way, why would we be spending money on players and looking for a manager ( although that seems to have stopped ) if the Allams are so close to selling.

The smart thing to do would be to include the cost of any transfers in the deal, that way they don't have to worry about investing in something that won't get them a return. But that's the smart thing. So that's them ****ed.

The fees would be spread over a period and based on certain things so it's only the initial payment that would need to be included. So as long as the new owners are aware and agree there shouldn't be a problem, they'd be mad not to agree
