It's not just about the goals. Given the two players I'd rather have Gestede.
OK, we were talking goal returns though, and ndoye's was much better with us. Not sure what went wrong for him at Sunderland.
It was, but Gestede's record at Blackburn was very, very good. As has been said in a team like ours that is really over reliant on crosses, he was a much better option than N'Doye.
Whether N'Doye is better than Gestede or not, I would certainly like Gestede along side Hernandez at Hull City rather than a replacement for him.
It was an ok record in the Championship, whereas N'Doye looked better for us in the PL. I think it's not really a debate that needs having though as I don't think we'll end up with Gestede.
Latest I've seen is Galatasaray are trying to sign Hernande.
I'd say it's a very good record for the Championship, better than 'OK'. We probably won't get him as you say, but his stint at Villa isn't really indicative of how good he is.
My only concern is that he's very, very injury prone, he hasn't made more than 30 appearances in a good standard league since... Well ever.
