I'd look at Aaron Lennon again. We need some major mobility in midfield - like the Hughes suggestion along with Alan Judge. I'd be tempted to bring back Brady and Chester. It's often better the devil you know.

Could we sign a midfielder like Shelvey from Championship Newcastle?

Strikers - need urgent remedy and as I'd only keep Hernandez, we need another 3 IMHO.

I'd like McCormack, Lambert (maybe) and a n other.

Who does he play for? Any Premier League experience?

This isn't FIFA, players offer more than just pace.

I've never played FIFA in my life and I know they do. I've said on here plenty of times that in a team blessed with pace, Snodgrass would be ok. But we're not, we're a very slow team, and having the slowest wide midfielder in history in such a team is a stupid idea. He's up there with Prossy as Bruce's worst signing for us.

Hm, I'd say Hernandez, Livermore, Odubajo and Andy are pretty quick.

Hernandez and Odubajo are, and that means we've got 8 who aren't. It's evident in the championship how slow we are, in the premier league it smacked you in the face every single game. Snodgrass in a team alongside Huddlestone is just a plain bad idea.

Priority this summer should be 3 new midfielders to play with Jake. However we'll offer new deals to Huddlestone and Elmo and return to the Prem with EXACTLY the same problems we had last time.

I think we're plenty quick. The game plan is what is slow. Our build up play by and large is far too slow. If you don't think Andy is quick I'll remind you who was on the end of a lightning counter against Derby to get us to the Final in the first place.

When we want to, and it happened several times in the PL last season (Sunderland, Palace twice, and a few others I think) we scored goals very late in games with very quick counters, and hell, we had Jela or N'Doye on the end of those.

"Could we sign a midfielder like Shelvey from Championship Newcastle" - a few mentions for him on here, not for me, something wrong about him, Swansea seemed to be keen to get out, and face doesn't seem to fit at Newcastle either? Like others have mentioned, I was impressed with the Derby pair, controlled the midfield at the KC.
I would have Gaston Ramirez back, on a free, been playing cracking for Boro, if they don't sign him up in place of Diame. I guess as a free agent, he will now go to the highest bidder.

Ok so some players are out of contract now or entering the last year.
So as first team players what does everyone think?
Mc G already signed new contract, but has injury problems, is this the 2nd back issue? For me he's first choice when fit, but do we look for another option?
Jak, well he's definitely done well when called on, still doesn't inspire confidence though, should he get a new contract? Depends on McG really is he first choice or are we looking at him being no2? Giving Jak a new contract might be just a bit sentimental. I think it's harsh but we should let him go.
Kuciak, don't know anything about him, other than what's on the net, obviously just bought in, but as 2 or 3?
Odubajo, outstanding player, possibly offer a new contract to stop anyone stealing him.
Davies already signed.
Dawson, getting on a bit, not the quickest, solid header, clears off the line a lot. Causes a few problems with his lack of pace, I don't see him leaving, but I can see another CB being brought in to cover for him, his replacement, with that, it'll probably mean someone comes in for him. Lower PL or Boro/Burnley. I think this is his last year too, so possibly go & we get money or keep him & risk losing him for free.
Robbo, should be in his last year so we need him signed up ASAP!
Harry, slow like Dawson but he's still young & is Dawson at his best, likely replacement for Dawson. IMO, I'd start with him & Davies.
Alex, well he's done well, while SB is here I can see him staying, but sooner or later SB is going to have to say no & move him on. Doubt it'll be anytime soon though.
Snodge, again should be coming to the end of his contract so he's played well since his comeback, IMO sign him up.
Jake, if he's in his last year, sign him up.
Meyler, great squad player, keep him & again sign him up if he's in his last year.
Clucas, keep, shouldn't be any contract issues.
Elmo, out of contract, hasn't been the same player this season and despite SB wanting to keep him by all accounts, I don't think we can really justify it. I know if he goes, it'll be to one of our relegation rivals, but can we really have a squad full of players just to stop our rivals getting them. IMO, No contract.
Hudds, same as Elmo's situation, he played well v Wednesday, Derby away, but Derby home & both league games went missing, add to that those games when Meyler was out. It's tough but IMO, no contract.
Although I suspect if SB remains so will both Hudds & Elmo!
Diame, on his day he can turn a game, big bustling, holds players off. Slow, not always the best pass picked. If SB plans to stick with a midfielder playing up front alongside a striker, then Diame is ok, if SB wants 2 out & out strikers, then Diame isn't going to play that much. No promotion, he'd be gone, but now it's trickier. If a good offer comes in, he'll be gone, I think Boro or Burnley will be interested. But what would be a good offer? More than £3 million, probably £5/6 million. IMO new contract. Although might not get as much game time, but with full pre season, could be great.
Abel H, no question, new contract!
Can't think of anymore who've been around the first team that would be worth mentioning, so time to get rid of Maloney, Taylor & Diomande.

You don't need to remind me of anything. Robertson is not quick by premier league standards.

You discounted him as a quick player in our team. He's got plenty of pace, even by PL standards. He burnt off a couple of Chelsea players to whip in that cross for our first goal against them late in the season.

Maybe we could get a new manager, keep all our players and use them properly?

We will need more but I'm more concerned with how we approach the premier league rather than who we use.

If you`re thinking of Sam Byram he has already been sold to West Ham, during last transfer window I believe.

No not Byram. He played against us for Leeds at the KC this season. Transfer window had long since shut.

Just checked and it's Charlie Taylor. Highly rated left back or left winger.

Andy Robertson isnt quick!!! kinell

Snodgrass is fine for us. Dont resign Hudd.

Resign Elmo.

Aluko gone.

If we're keeping Diomande we need to sign 3 more forwards and keep Hernandez.

I'd let Diame go.

New CM and a new CB.
