How do people compare the signing of Henriksen to the loss of Diame? Both for £4.5m. An upgrade? more potential? Unproven?

Unproven in the Premier league, but appears to be a 100% player which Diame never was. Diame was a potential match winner - but drifted in and out of games which is a luxury we cannot afford at this level with our squad. We need players who give 100% for 90 minutes. Diame was not this type of player - it remains to be seen whether Henriksen is, but the write ups so far are promising.

If the guys from our Amsterdam office are right, he is a completely different type of player to Diame. Always involved, a true box to box player, as others have mentioned like Lampard.

They reckon we got ourselves a bargain.........but the Prem is a different game to the Dutch league......so TWT

Be nuts to change anything for the Burnley game, other than bringing in Harry for Meyler and pushing Livermore into CM IF that's where MP sees him playing this season. Basically over to the new lads to win their place, and current squad to keep their places. Best situation possible

Agree with keeping the current XI for the Burnley game all being well. However, in time I see the XI changing to something on the lines of this.

Marshall
Elmo. Jake. Davies. Robbo

Thudd. Mason. Clucas.
Norway

Abel. Mbok

Big Mike's got some pleasantly difficult decisions to make now.

****ing hell I wish I'd switched off the alerts thing. I've had smoke coming out of my computer for the last 3 days with it pinging every few seconds when a post has been made on this thread

Overall it's turned out decent, Mason, Henriksen, Marshall and Mbokani are excellent additions and Keane and Weir are reasonable punts at only £1m each.

A bit weird that we didn't go for a full back, we should have kept Rosie, he'd have been ideal cover.

Apart from Rosie himself is crocked now

I'm a bit surprised we didn't cover full back positions tbh. Thought Gunter or similar would come in. Perhaps there is someone out of contract we have our eye on for when the takeover goes through.
Otherwise we must be thinking along the lines of Meyler covering right back until Moses is fit and Tymon, Clucas or Weir covering Robbo.

Got to say never seen Henriksen play live, but from little highlights I`ve seen and the reports from those who have, especially from our Norwegian poster, it appears the lad is 100% effort, and not short of skill and guile, on the other hand Diame on his day had flashes of brilliance but only showed us his potential in flashes. I`m hoping we have an upgrade in Henriksen and am really looking forward to seeing what he is about.

We were regularly linked with Gunter, but that was when Brucie was here I think. Pity we didn`t go in for him, in fact not sure whether he moved or not during the window.

On what we have seen so far can't see how Snodgrass can be left out.
