Really? Do you REALLY think the club has a say on this. It's down to the FL and their rules about names and numbers being visible. Why bash the club? <yikes>

As IT says "IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 2h2 hours ago
Just for the record, I don't personally design the kits but I know, for a fact, everyone at @QPRFC would want full Hoops if we could #

Then explain why other clubs in the PL with two tone kits - ie Sunderland don't have a patch?

Having slept on it.....................I still like all of them and the patch on the back is compulsory it seems. I don't mind the third kit.

I've received an email from Ian Taylor that he's asked us to send out onto the QPR forums. I'm sorry that I couldn't post it earlier as I'm at work tonight.

"Re the back patch ...

The 2015/16 kits were designed and signed off last September when the club was in the Premier League. With the lead time associated with rolling out the new kits, the back patch was the only option available. Those Premier League rules state that players name and numbering must be clearly visible, and as we have a two tone shirt the only way of guaranteeing this is for us to have a patch on the back. "
Sorry Ian, if that's true everyone concerned should be ashamed of themselves. It takes 10 months to produce and do the PR for a new kit? Rubbish. Even the design can't take more than a couple of days, given we all know what we wanted. 10 months lead time? You can plan and execute a war in less time than that, rebuild a bridge collapsed in an eartquake, recall every Honda Civic ever built..........

For the record the kits, even the off the shelf third kit (presumably part of the deal with Nike, who are presumably now wandering around their offices in California staring blankly at each other and mumbling "Who's ****ing decision was it to give money to QPR??') are fine with me. EXCEPT THE ****ING BADGE. Look back at the shirts from our two greatest moments - 1967 at Wembley and the 75/76 season - spot the similarity - NO BADGE ON THE SHIRT AT ALL. Keep the tacky, florid thing we have now as the Club 'crest' - no one ever looks at it anyway - and scrap the shirt badge entirely. Or use DTs who has done the design work for you and despises money, so doesn't expect payment.

I like the kits, much better than last year's disaster and the lighter blue colour is the same as it was way back when I started following the R's.
Shame the hoops don't go all the way round, just hope the players want to perform whilst wearing them.

The home kit has wider hoops (or perhaps more accurately "bars") and looks great from the front. I have no issues with the red collar or the blue sleeves. It is a big improvement from last years' kit. It is also is great to see the return of Dennis the Menace. As for third kit, I have no issues as it is different. Personally would have gone for black and grey hoops, but c'est la vie.

My only complaint is he patch is the back and the lack of continuous hoops..

Perhaps we should be renamed "The Super Bars"

Or...how about "The Super Horizontal Strips" .....bit of a mouth full but could work.......

Don't mind the red bits in the home kit, it's a throw back to one of the adidas kits we had in the early 80's........but the blue back? nah.....to much like the fake horizontal strips.

As for more appropriate names for our non continuous hoops you can also choose from:
- streaks
- bends
- arcs
- curves
- cross pieces

So how about "The Super Horizontal Cross Pieces"?

My design has along way to go but i can guarantee that it has a shelf life. It has to be simple
Our club plays in blue and white hoops and IMO should be just as recognisable as the nike tick
The Red and black also
The third kit should be all white IMO or all black
Taylor is talking rubbish as if the designer were told that we must have hoops then its an easy design
FFS QPR hasn't even got a typeface

QPR play in their famous hooped shirts

Do your job right

A very good point - i suspect that they add a patch with the name and number. Really can't see why the patch can't be added like that for our shirts

They didn't last season and doubt they will this season either, Sunderland, Palace, Stoke to name three I've seen with two tone kits and no patch on the back. I could almost live with a patch on the back but the whole thing pretty much blue looks terrible, I actually quite like the front of it, just a shame that they have taken away something which is so important to the fans!

No idea, and cannot believe you and others are a getting so worked up about the bloody kit.
Nit picking on all of the following:-
Wrong shade of blue!<doh>
Not hoops all the way round!:headbang:
Patch on the back!
Badge looks stuck on!:steam:
No hoops on the sleeves!:emoticon-0121-angry

The QPR identity is still there, even down to D the M away shirt.
If QPR had done a Cardiff I could understand the whining.

*shakes head in despair*

We refer to ourselves as the Super Hoops because of our shirt and the history of it and you can't see why people are upset about it? You're the type of 'fan' who wouldn't bat an eyelid if we were renamed London Utd.

As I said, nit pickers the lot of you. They ARE hoops, NOT stripes.
Can't believe I'm wasting my time on this.
