Newcastle fans <doh>

Some of them think he's no good at all and others think he's too good for them. <laugh>

He should sign an extension and go next year to a top club after more progress is made.

If he doesn't he's missing out on winning the Champions League.

i think it is not just newcastle fans, its english fans in general. they never watch him and have no idea what he is like or what the spl is like, they simply think because he is in scotland he is not good enough. its the same every time the euro's or world cup come round they automatically think they will win it, their ignorance knows no bounds

personally i think he will go but i think for his own benefit he would be far better off sticking around for another year, sadly i do not think one p lawell esq will agree

Thread on the Mackems board about Hooper.

I think there's about six or seven teams named as being in for him.

I'm probably contrary to the rest of the board here in that I don't see us replacing him like-for-like. We'll keep Stokesie but he's a slightly dynamically different type of player.

When folk have been criticising Hooper for not being in games the last few months, I still thought he was putting a shift in.

I'll be really sorry to see him go.

Obviously prefer him to stay ... 31 goals! And he's stil young - got his best years ahead.

Not sure how you would replace him but I'm sure the scouting team have a lis of targets.

If Hooper is for the off, £750k gets you Johnny Russell.

It'd be a travesty if he goes to Derby.

Hooper is being linked with several clubs.
personally I hope he leaves your mickey mouse league and comes south of the border

Im an England fan and I'd rather think we're gonna win every tournament that we enter, rather than you Scots that don't even think you'll qualify!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22774959 He probably thinks he deserves more as Hooper's probably offski!

Nothing story from a throwaway comment by Lennon. How many people accept the first offer? Especially In football.

As for hooper, would prefer he stayed but we have to sell for a profit. That's the plan at the club. Have to have faith the money( at least some) can be used to unearth 2 or 3 hoopers/wanyamas/matthews etc.

We can't hope to get them, keep them and let them leave for **** all when their contracts expire- except Ledley, we should keep him no matter what
