Bolger has a 10f Gallop 35 mins from Coolcullen that acts as a gallop away from home, it has been laid to replicate the Rowley Mile with the dip and everything. So the Dawn should have no worries about the track and he wont want for fitness.

Interesting Joe, maybe that's why he has such a good record in the Dewhurst. Obviously he's had some very good winners of that race, but he's also trained some very average horses to win that race. So maybe that gallop they have gives there horses a big advantage.

AOB has a replica of Tattenham corner in his yard, and that's why I think alot of his rags have run big races at Epsom. At First Sight being a prime example when he finished 2nd at 100/1. So it's always worth backing any of his 'pacemakers' at huge odds in the Derby

I'm basing it on mars work at home and how he has filled out remember when it was sea the stars is just having a prep run for the derby ! I think that crisiforo will do mars for turn of foot but he will be finishing like a train lets see joey pull him up !

We're only a few days away now from the 2000 and Dawn Approach is 11/8 at best and evens at worst (seriously who bets with Ladbrokes?). Toronado is a strong 2nd favourite ranging from 11/4 to 9/4 with Mars, Cristoforo Colombo and George Vancouver next in the market at 7's, 8's and 16's. my each way selection would be Garswood if I hadn't already plunged on the favourite who at 20/1 represents a shade of value based on his 3 year old reappearance.

With the favourite being so skinny already what price do the great and the good think he'll go off on Saturday?

By the look of it the field might be pretty small.

I'm hoping they clip Dawn Approach in a bit as I need to lay off this acca.

Praying for evens but wondering if any bookies have got the knackers to lay him.

Kyllachy Rise 50/1 for this. He's the real deal and makes his debut today.

66/1 with Hills. He wants backing e/w, Queally is booked so he runs. The Cecil colts have needed a run. He should be sharp and he's a real talent. I was worried he'd be scratched after not winning his maiden as expected but I'm delighted he hasn't been.

I think the Toronado momentum will only go to a point Bob. I see Dawn Approach being dangled at 7/4 into 6/4 and then promptly gobbled up into clear favouritism.

Hoping Toronado runs a nice race with a strong finish on course to a tilt at the Derby. Favourite has all the form and Bolger does not bullshit you with his horses when he says they are good.

I see them being 1 and 2 but you never know, it is an early season classic. Hope both stay fit and healthy and have good campaigns.

Tornado will drift on the day, he won nicely last time, but you have to question what he beat?

Having seen the pictures of Dawn Approach, he looks like he's really progressed physically over the winter. Looking at his form from last year and his physical appearance this this year, I'm struggling to see why any sane person would want to take him on.

Paddy Power might aswell pay me out early, as this race is already a full gone conclusion:biggrin:

Dawn Approach for me will relish the mile.

There are shades of Rock Of Gibraltar and High Chapparal here for me in terms of the way I view this race.

That might sound pretty foolish come Saturday evening but to me they look the two real stars of the lineup and that is not based simply on the market either. Sounds to me like Dawn Approach will be allowed first run and I think he will edge it narrowly as a result.

I think Toronado looks a potential Derby horse and was pleased with how he had grown physically. Dawn Approach will tell us a lot more after this, in terms of his future assignments and distances.

I really have no interest in Toronado. Beat nothing LTO and trails Dawn Approach on form like everything else in the race but I'm pleased he's running because it's giving DA backers a second chance at an acceptable price.

Hannon and Classic winner doesn't belong in the same sentence. Can't get his recent record in the race out of my head.

11/4 about Tornado, is one of the most ridiculous prices I've ever seen. Dawn Approach will have him for breakfast

I cannot see Hot Snap winning for love nor money. Good ground goes against her...she wants a touch of soft. Think she was flattered lto off a fast early clip.

MOTH has been supplemented and is one of the visually most impressive horses of the season so far.

She has proven she is on the upgrade and has trained on, which is a nice bonus compared to some.

I'm on Toronado. Looks mightily improved this season, will enjoy the fast(ish) ground and if we get G/F saturday I think he will be hard to beat.

Toronado has improved over the winter, that is clear..... Has DA? We will find out :D
