Mick, I have to ask what you base that on?

For me, Mars is just an utter farytale. A myth.

He won a Dundalk maiden after a bit of internet hype around him prior to it. Since then, we haven't seen him and I have no idea how anyone could back him to beat an outstanding 2 Y 0 like Dawn Approach, who has crucially stayed with Jim Bolger despite being owned by Godolphin.

Lol Dundalk maiden form, in comparison to an unbeaten duel G1 winning 2yo. Do me a favour!!

Mars will be far to slow for the Guineas, and even if he did have the pace, which I very much doubt, he's severely lacking in experience to take on the likes of Dawn Aproach. Mars could have a chance in the Derby, if he gets a few more runs under his belt, but he has no chance of winning the Guineas

Happy enough with 25s on Cristoforo Colombo atm :)

12/08/2012, 04:21 PM =rainbowview;3279924]I think Cristoforo is a real top notcher. Have backed 25/1 Bet365 guineas as a bit of fun - call me mental all you like <rofl>

RV I remember that. I think he will run really well- better ground wouldnt go a miss either.

    Bred to improve this season.

Think the fav will be tough to beat. Fancy Toronado.for The Derby so might get done for a touch of speed in the Guineas.

Topppy <ok> yeah I think he has every chance. Agree that Dawn Approach will be hard to beat but he is no 11/10 shot imo. Toronado is too slow I think.

I do laugh at you anti posters.....1) if the horse gets there ... 2) regular jockey rides . 3) ground 4) opposition ..... so many factors can influence your bet so i wouldnt get too carried away !!

Ive got a saver on Cristoforo at about 7 or 8/1, cant be arsed checking, he is not in the same class as his dad tho.

We dont know the final field yet so not sure what price anything should be yet, but its possible that Dawn Approach should be an odds on shot on the day with the lack of any serious opponent whatsoever.

Toronado has been backed into second fav, probably in anticipation of a win in the Craven, lets be honest, he is not a group 1 miler by a long, long, long way, and he wont be winning the Guineas, or the Derby for that matter.

Where is the Group 1 miler to take on the champ? I dont see it.

I do laugh at knobs who think they know it all. So what if I want to have an ante post bet. He is 6/1 in places now I am on at 25s happy enough.

I think we should get RV a medal for getting 25/1 about a 9/1 shot, a 6% advantage on the book

I think the 6/4 with Paddies about Dawn Approach still vastly underrates his chances, its basically 6/4 for him to make it to stalls in one piece, then start making your way up to collect.

Dont take it personally RV !! Yeah great price but it wouldnt matter if you had 500/1 if he doesnt make the race! I like to know all aspects and minimise risk before placing a bet thats not nobby its sensible punting!

Fingers crossed he does make it there safe and sound, as it would be one of the weakest guineas ever without him. There is nothing else in that field that excites me. I reckon he'll go off about 4/5 on the day

No, i'm confused as to why you dislike posters so much. Granted, I prefer a lovely original oil on canvas or watercolour but if it's just for a small spot a poster is fine.
